Thief is a NPC found in various places around
RuneScape, and can be a challenge for new or low level players. They can be either male or female. One of their characteristics is that they will stop attacking and try to escape when at low health.
It has been noted that while using ranged attacks on them, your arrows seem to disappear very quickly; this may be just a coincidence, but it has not been confirmed either way. It may be that the thief will steal any arrows that he finds, as thieves probably would.
