The Ancient Warriors were four powerful combatants who lived during the Third Age and who have fought in the God Wars. Zuriel, the mage among the warriors, used the Ancient Magicks, and some assume that he was Zarosian, however, some Zamorakians also have access to these magics so his religion can't be deduced. The four Ancient Warriors were:

The Ancient Warriors used equipment that is now known as Ancient Warriors' equipment, which was released on 15 October 2008, along with PvP Worlds. Their equipment may be obtained from revenants in the Forinthry Dungeon as a rare drop, or by trading via the Grand Exchange or with another player. The equipment degrades in combat, and cannot be traded once it has started to degrade.

The Ancient Warriors' armour sets are currently the third most powerful armour sets in the game. The weapons, though, are commonly used without the armour sets, due to their high attack bonuses and relative cheapness. Recently, however, the Ancient Warriors' weapons have fallen out of general favour, as chaotic equipment lasts longer and tends to be more powerful. Zuriel's staff has also seen a decline in usage as the removal of Miasmic spells has taken away its only niche; the staff of light is now often used instead, as it provides similar bonuses while being less costly both in the short- and long-term.
