The Ambassador concept art

Concept art of the Ambassador

The Ambassador is a boss that was first mentioned at RuneFest 2016. It was said to be connected to Xau-Tak and the Underwater City. It was initially described as a solo boss fight, but following player feedback Jagex were considering allowing between 1-5 players into the fight.[1] During the Unfinished Business question and answer livestream Jagex said that, although it was likely that more bosses would be released in future, The Ambassador was not in development and would not necessarily be the next boss to be released.[2] Following the announcement of the boss Solak at RuneFest 2017 Mod Ramen described how the ideas for The Ambassador had evolved into the concept for Solak.[3]

  • Like Xau-Tak itself, the Ambassador's appearance draws heavy inspiration from the works of writer H. P. Lovecraft.
