Tenzing is a Sherpa living in the house just west of Burthorpe. A player needs to go through his house, and over a stile, to take the secret path past Death Plateau on the way to Trollheim. He is involved in the Death Plateau (quest). He sells climbing boots for 12 coins each.

- The character may have been based on Tenzing Norgay, a Sherpa and guide to Sir Edmund Hillary when they both reached the peak of Mount Everest. This would explain why he helps players through the rocky paths by selling climbing boots, and the fact that he knows the different routes through the mountain.
- Some players use the fact he sells cheap boots to make money. Climbing boots sell for significantly more on the grand exchange than he sells them for. The Warrior Guild also has a bank near by.
