Forums: Yew Grove > Forumheader
This documentation is transcluded from Template:Forumheader/doc.
This template is used by default on all forum pages. The first parameter will already be filled, and thus can simply be ignored. The template also has two other parameters that are noteworthy.
archive- This parameter will add the thread to the archived list if set to true. It is equivalent to adding{{Archive}}directly below the forumheader template if you choose not to use the parameter.sticky- This parameter will add the thread to the list of stickied threads if set to true.user- Name of the user who closed the thread, for sorting purposes.date- Date when the thread was closed, for sorting purposes.type- Gives thread a category based on input.
- Valid values are (case insensitive):
Clan chat
community
content
discussion
miscellaneous,misc
meta
- Giving Category:Forum archives/Meta
policy
technical,tech
user-related,user
- By default (no or incorrect value given), it will give Category:Forum archives/Uncategorised
name- This filled out automatically when the forum is created, assuming it is created through the preload found on Forum:Yew Grove. It is for use on RuneScape:Forum Archives.subject- This is used to describe the subject of the forum, or what it is proposing. This paramater is used in RuneScape:Forum Archives, so links should be added as necessary.closure- This accepts: allow, disallow, no consensus, withdrawn, no proposal, no formal closure and variations depending on capitalisation and shorthand. Defaults to no formal closure. This parameter is used for RuneScape:Forum Archives.notes- This parameter is used to clarify the outcome of the forum where simply stating the closure is unsufficient. Examples might be if parts of the proposal were implemented/rejected and if the proposal developed beyond what was originally stated in said proposal. this parameter is for use in RuneScape:forum Archives.
As a side note, this template will also add a notice if the thread has been inactive for a month or more. This is considered useful to administrators when closing threads.
Closing thread
After consensus is determined, the following parameters should be added/filled in:
|name=|subject=|notes=|closure=|archive=true|date=|user=|type=And the
sticky parameter should be removed.
