Note that they are no longer black in the latest maps on RuneScape but instead are checkered. Inelcirc 21:37, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Silhouette Request

I've had an idea. I don't know if this can be done easily, but is it possible to black out the land on the map, leaving a silhouette of it while leaving water as is? With this blank slate, it would be possible to make political maps, trade maps, ocean current diagrams, and that sort of thing for different periods of history. Again, I don't know if this can be done easily, but if so, I would really appreciate the help. I could do a lot with it. Morian Smith 03:43, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

It's not too hard to do. Here's one that should meet your needs. I whited out the land rather than blacking it out, as that probably allows for more map making options. (You can always change white to black in a paint program if you really want black.) Water remains blue. Unexplored regions are grey. Image is available at Image:Worldmap_blank.png. (The thumbnail doesn't display correctly, but just click on the image and it will be fine.) Inelcirc 23:01, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Out of date

The current map seems to be out of date. For example, it does not show the Mobilizing Armies area (the entrance, not the game location, of course). Can we get this fixed?

• I was digging around on the world map, and found there is a small unnmaed island south of Crash Island, and it doesn't show up on this site's version of the world map. If somebody knows what that island is, or can update the map to show it, please do so, and/or let me know! Thanks The Chaos is Coming 07:02, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
