How Much Damage the Armour Actually Blocks?[]

So I did some maths.

I divided 100 by 6 (maximum possible dodge chance) and got 16 and 2/3, which doesn't really work so I rounded it down since a monster isn't going to round up to hit you that 17th time. So every 16 hits on average you're taking 10% of standard damage. Averaging this out over 100 hits you would, in fact, get 6 hits blocked (obviously). So on average, over 100 hits, you're getting hit 100% damage in all but 6 of those hits. Call full damage on every hit 10,000% of a normal hit. If you take away 540% (6*90, which is the amount of damage blocked by percentage) you learn that you're taking about 9,460% damage of a normal hit every ten hits. Divide by 100 to get an actual, reasonable, relevant number and you get about 94.6% damage taken. Tl;dr: this armour in practice blocks 5.6% in all categories against all levels no matter what, if you wanna talk in terms of averages.

I realise my working here is all over the place, but if that makes sense, it's more useful than just the dodge chance, I think. And feel free to correct me if this is a load of rambling bullcrap. Anyone who can simplify this, feel free to. I'm not exactly a god of maths. Ho De Ho (talk) 10:13, September 6, 2013 (UTC)

PvP[]

Is this armour meant to 'disappear' once you envter pvp? I noticed at the duel arena, that if you enter the area, the armour disappears, and you are left wearing only your base-clothes. The armoun remains 'equipped' but you are not visually wearing it, and I didn't have time to test whether the stats were still effective, as I had to leave at that point.

A friend also reported a glitch, while in the wild; I didn't pay much attention at the time (it was before I was at the Duel Arena), though as far as I saw, he seemed to be saying that it did the same to him, when somone attacked him, though it had been fine for fighting npcs in the Wild.

Any clarification on whether this is a glitch, or if I've just missed seeing that it's said somewhere about it not being usable in PvP. Sorry I couldn't provide any proper information, but I will try again at another time.86.129.240.190 23:34, September 7, 2013 (UTC)

Sorted this, it's just a glitch, the armour reappears, randomly. It disappears the first time (sometimes subsequent times, too) when PvP areas are entered for the first time, wearing it.86.129.240.190 13:59, September 9, 2013 (UTC)
Happened to me as well yesterday, while entering a Soul Wars game, with my normal armour. Would indeed seem as if it's a glitch, and not specific to this armour. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 14:03, September 9, 2013 (UTC)

GWD drops?[]

Can you still obtain this armour from GWD drops if you didn't buy it in the BoL event? And does anyone have any information on what monsters drop it? Is it only the Bosses? 04ismailjj6 (talk) 11:22, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Somewhere in the RSOF a jmod posted (and yes, I'm too lazy to go and try and find the post; most likely one of Mod Raven's) that people who unlocked the armour at BoL have a better chance of getting the armour as a drop than people who didn't. And people who didn't, but do get a drop, have - starting from that point onwards - an increased chance of getting the armour (but still smaller than those who unlocked it during BoL). Last I heard, normal Saradomin monsters drop the armour, so I suspect the same for Zamorak. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 11:35, October 4, 2013 (UTC)
I killed 32 random Zamorakian followers in the Zamorakian encampment and looted a pair of Zamorak greaves from a Spritual mage. I had not purchanged the Warpriest of Zamorak armor during the world event, but I did purchase the Saradomin armor. I returned later killing exactly 100 Spitual mages before leaving with no additional armor drops. I was not wearing a ring of wealth either time. Heaven Sent (talk) 06:30, October 28, 2013 (UTC)
From what I've heard, you seemingly cannot get bank placeholders (aka, cannot get two Saradomin helms). So if you still have your Saradomin warpriest armour, that can explain why you've gotten no drops in those 100 kills. Tho that said, 32 kills as a single data point is a bit too few to call them this common, imo. IP83.101.44.209 (talk) 06:46, October 28, 2013 (UTC)
I concur. I went ahead and filled out the table here with the rest of the armor, but marked them as rare as shown here.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Heaven Sent (talk) on 07:19, October 28, 2013.
So far my drop rates have been 4 pieces from a total of 250 Spiritual mages.
Piece 1 after 32 total kills.
Piece 2 after 157 additional kills.
Piece 3 after 54 additional kills.
Piece 4 after 4 additional kills. Heaven Sent (talk) 16:59, October 29, 2013 (UTC)
35 kills later I looted the helm (5th piece) from a mage. Heaven Sent (talk) 17:12, October 29, 2013 (UTC)
I got full Armadyl and Saradomin warpriest sets on around 1000 kills per set. Note: i didn't get either from the world events. Mattila22 (talk) 10:19, July 13, 2014 (UTC)

Mod Timbo Comfirms[]

Mod Timbo posted on the RSOF here, here, and here that you can only have one piece of each Warprist armor, "[the Warpriest armor] has a chance to drop from any Zamorak creature including K'ril but it will not replace any drop you were supposed to get, it should be on top of", and that the drop rate is rare, but "if you did buy some then you have a better rate to fill out the missing pieces or reclaim any armour that you lost". This works for both sides - If you purchased the Saradomin armor during the world event, you will have an inproved drop rate for the Zamorak armor. Heaven Sent (talk) 23:14, October 28, 2013 (UTC)

You can also get the armour items from killing Canifis Werewolves  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 164.106.218.36 (talk) on 19:54, April 16, 2014 (UTC).
