What's better to wear while fighting these guys? Ring of Wealth of Jen's Ring? Dr Locust 01:01, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
I wonder if the jennaca's ring will work better than ring of wealth? Is it considered a revanent?
Jennica's ring is better cause it's in the spirit realm. Buzz (Talk • # • √ • P ) 08:40, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Actually, Jennica's ring only increases drop rates for revanents. The tormented wraith isn't a revanent, so the ring of wealth would be better.--Qaws7111 19:32, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
The best monster to hunt for blue charms?
Except Bork of course. 124.104.95.91 15:20, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
How so? Sir Revan125 15:15, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
They drop blue charms very frequently. I've got about 5 blue charms in about 10~15 kills. Even waterfiends only gives me about 5 blue charms while I get 200 crimson charms. And killing this wraith isn't very hard with salve ammy(e) and black scimmy. 124.104.95.91 15:20, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Good to know! :) Sir Revan125 15:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Good? Yes. Best? No. For example, Tormented Demons are better, dropping 3 blue charms almost every other kill. THARKON 15:36, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm... very interesting! But maybe, wraiths are better because they are (a lot) easier to kill.. ;-) Leon Art 18:15, June 26, 2011 (UTC) (btw, hi, nice to see you again)
For the record, Black Claws and Black Spear does not work (unconfirmed by me). Tested Black Defender last night. It does not work either. Ixindor 10:25, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
[It has been updated so that Black Claws, Spear, and Defender do work now.] -(username=gregisthe1) 8 September 2009
will this armor work I think it has the same stats as rune?--Skawt24 02:14, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
The article says Elite Black will work. Oli4burggraa 13:21, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
I've tested elite black armour and it works.-- Bruxacosmica Talk-Highs 19:36, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
It seems unlikely but possible: How about the Dagon'hai robes; has anyone tried this?
[no, robes don't work... but there is a way to get positive mage bonus. i took:
black elite legs (-14), black chain (-15), black med (-3), black claws (+0 mage bonus but i don't have to equip a -6 mage bonus shield), amulet of fury (+10), god cape (+10), infinity boots (+5), seer's ring (+4), and borrows gloves (+6).
the total comes out to +3 (or -1 if you prefer a ring of wealth)
either way, mage hits fairly well on him anyways because he doesn't have very good mage defense (like the melee borrows brothers).] -(username=gregisthe1) 8 September 2009
Also, does crumble undead work on them?
[yes. also, they can be frozen in place by the ice spells of the anchient magicks and killed from a safe distance. =)] -(username=gregisthe1) 8 September 2009
If using mage with prayer as protection, a black mace might be a better option as it also gives no negative bonuses to magic and gives a +2 prayer bonus. Jeree95 05:59, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
Except that then you must wield a shield in the off-hand, which does give a Magic accuracy penalty. --Andorin(Talk)(Contribs) 06:04, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
Aww, just realised that -.- well, back to G.E then... Jeree95 06:11, December 23, 2011 (UTC)
does anyone know if u can use a black crossbow or javalins / throwning axes ? ? ? ? ( zzzzsvnty )

black cross bow works if using black bolts, not sure about javs and throwing axes
—The preceding unsigned comment was added by [[Special:Contributions/{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]] ([[User talk:{{{1}}}|talk]]).
Are you sure, the article currently states crossbows don't work, so this should be updated if you're right. THARKON 15:39, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
I'm thinking of using the following table to replace the section (in trivia of all places) on maximising haul:
From here...
Assumes nature runes are bought (at 111 coins each), and a fire rune supplying staff is wielded.
High-level alchemy verses Grand Exchange Prices

To optimise profit per trip, a player should discard or alchemise items in ascending order of price difference (lowest to highest). Therefore, at the end of a perfect trip the only black item(s) in a player's inventory should be that with the highest price difference (currently the black platebody).
...to here.
I'd like to hear feedback on it before putting it into the article. (Explanations given when necessary.) GazLloydAwesomeEvents!99s 23:40, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Uh thanks, but I think its better to post the drops on your userpage you can create your own drop log and such as "User:Wylsey/Drop log/Tormented wraith" as an example and then give us the link. =) Powers38おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 08:57, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
It was previously said in the trivia section that these gave less than 4 exp per damage point, in my experience it was giving me around 4.181818 - 4.272727 experience per damage point when I done 11 damage and 4.125 exp per point when I done 8 damage, thus I changed the page to reflect my findings, can anyone else confirm my numbers for me just to make sure the figures I am getting are correct. Wylsey 00:09, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
Also in the trivia section it says many players find it to be an unsatisfactory way to make money, from my experiences alone I find it to be quite a fast way to make money, if you have a salve amulet(e) barrows gloves, good metal boots and high attack and strength stats, maybe also using super sets, you should be able to kill these things about the same speed as Aviansie.
I am not saying you will get the same value of loot you will get from aviansie, but when you take into consideration the money you spend on prayer pots while killing aviansie and thatyou can safe spot Wraith with no loss of food or prayer potions I find Wraith can be just as fast if not faster (for example if you were to get an Elixer drop) than making money with the very popular Aviansie.
With that being said I feel this 'Trivia' should be removed as it would be more likely the editors personal opinion as opposed to actual fact and could put off potential killers. Wylsey 00:30, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
the article states it attacks with melee, which melee? stab, slash or crush? this info might help to determine what´s better to use, elite or regular black amourLeon Art 14:00, June 22, 2011 (UTC)
We don't know which melee attack it uses, but either way, tanking the tormented wraith is a bad idea. --Andorin(Talk)(Contribs) 19:18, June 22, 2011 (UTC)
Regardless of what style it uses, Elite black armour has superior stats in all cases, it's only downside is that it's slightly heavier, and harder to replace if you were to lose it. THARKON 15:46, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
In the "Allowed equipment" table, it states that the black crossbow cannot be used, but in the "Recommended equipment" ranged table, it states that it can be used. So which is correct? Ciphrius Kane 18:37, April 9, 2012 (UTC)
I'd apreciate if someone could confirm this due to the fact I just completed Summers End and gave the Wraith a try.
The Wraith seems to always drop Anagogic Orts in groups of 40 (unless it needs to round off to 200 due to a different amount being obtained before from another method) these Orts are also dropped extremly often.
Its probably far to early to suggest that it may be the fastest method to your 200 daily, but it is what I will be doing.
