Keep 'Street' Pricing Information off this Page[]

The market volume on this item is very low and any 'street' pricing is more subjective and manipulative than helpful.

It should be worth noting that it is precisely because the market volume is low that the Grand Exchange value is not indicative of the item's price. Anecdotal evidence is not overly useful, but just recently, earlier in January of 2014, a player in world 48 was complaining about not being able to buy one despite having an offer of 1.4B coins on it. Clearly by simple economic principals of supply and demand the item is worth significantly more than the GE value of less than 600M if more than double that amount isn't enough to get one of the few floating around in the market. The GE price updates rely far too heavily on trade volume and as such the graph shows the "price" or "value" of this item is static, despite that static value being highly inaccurate. Ultra-rare items such as these and party hats absolutely cannot have their true economic value properly represented by JaGEx's system and if neither that nor the values assigned by people that actually own these items that have very few instances within the game is an acceptable value representation, then what would be? 98.27.165.241 22:44, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Jagex's system may be lackluster, but what matters is that it's verifiable. If someone says the street price is a certain value and is asked if that's true, the best he can give as an answer is hearsay. On the other hand, I can say that the third-age druidic cloak was valued at 551,426,292 coins on 20 January 2014, and I'll have the official database's historical charts to back me up.
