UntitledEdit

Ohmygawd he's ugly, but not his chathead. Discuss nonsense. Seriously, that is a really strange helmet. Any ideas where he could have possible got it from? 18px-Avatar.png Fswe1 Lore project

The feathers on his helmet are kinda cool looking. They're fuzzy in-game, don't see that texture often. I dunno, his whole outfit is ridiculous. Kinda reminds me of Black elite armor yeah? Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 16:25, August 9, 2011 (UTC)
Cool feathers indeed, like Owen's hair. BTW, sorry for reuploading the GE eastern entrance image. I kinda meant the structure above it by "updated". 18px-Avatar.png Fswe1 Lore project

I'm going to take my guess and say The Raptor is female. I personally think the feather arrangement and chainskirt is feminine, but skirts seem to be acceptable on males. Refusing to take off any armor and teleing away make it at least sound like he/she is hiding something. (not human, ashamed of appearance, ugly, disguising self for some reason, or female?). Someone that beastly I'd think would rage kill everyone and not run away though if they were a hormone filled male and/or monster. Jagex may reveal more later. The hidden identity may end up being a part of the mystery that makes the character a unique signature hero though. I wouldn't be suprised if Jagex does something silly like making a big deal out of something like why he/she has the nick name the Raptor instead to tease everyone. Curious as to the true identity of this character. I have heard he might well be Nomad and all sorts of other farfetched theories. He does mention about killing Lucien though and only accepting the defeat of Nomad as the only impressive feat. Food for thought. 2.125.241.94 00:24, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
Nomad? No... Nomad is at Soul Wars (before His Requiem, of course) and The Raptor basically everywhere, he can't be two people at once. Moreover, The Raptor uses a mace whereas Nomad's a mage. 18px-Avatar.png Fswe1 Lore project

Hey xhanort7! The raptor is a guy! Look at the guest for when he comments on your killings. It says that you might be as good as HIMSELF!!! Yes I pay super attention. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
That's not a quote. Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 01:39, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
Maybe The Raptor's an Aviansie?

GrammarEdit

The character's poor grammar suggests to me that the player's language might not be its first language (I say "it" because we don't even know for sure it is human). Summoning-icon Sci (talk) Enhanced excalibur 10:02, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

DialougeEdit

I'm pretty sure there were some pictures of all of his chat dialouges on the page. Why were they removed? It's not like it was much. Xhanort7 12:10, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Race Edit

How do we know Raptor is human? I do not believe that is stated in game or anywhere.

At the screenshot showing all of the signature hero's, he's seen being a human. I don't think they'd change that. =P KwekkoTalkSummer pie 11:16, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Similarities to Brutes/Rammernaut GuardEdit

Maybe the Raptor is from Daemonheim? Not that it means anything, but also The Raptor can be seen standing in Daemonheim in the Daemonheim animated background on the RuneScape start page as of 9 August 2011. Xhanort7 11:56, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

Possible Reference? Edit

Is it possible that this character is a pun on Top Gear's "The Stig"? Just throwing out the possibility into the open. :) 86.145.249.1 12:33, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

I doubt it. The only similarity is that they don't show their faces, and there's plenty of characters in both fantasy and non-fantasy settings who do that. If he also didn't speak, maybe, but he does, and there the similarities pretty much end.
Also, you should sign your pages with your userpage, not just a name :) 12:36, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry - t'was a setting error (still learning with wiki lol). I dunno why the Stig came to mind... meh, only time will tell! ^_^' ~Night. 11:36, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

No problem, I had problems with the wiki formats for months after I started here. Yes, I guess time will tell in the end. I can't wait until some of these heroes are involved in quests and stuff! 12:47, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

RuneScape Book tie-in? Edit

Not sure why, but the Raptor reminds me, in some weird way, of Sulla from T.S.Church's RS books. I realise Sulla is the main bad-guy in the series, and has no hands (at least at the end of Return to Canifis) but since there have only been two books out so far, who knows what may happen by the end of the series? Also, isn't the series meant to be set just a few years before the year our character enters RuneScape? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but are the books considered canonical RuneScape material? I would like to think that they are.

They are canonical, and yes, they do only take place four or five years before the current year. I'm not sure about The Raptor being Sulla though. I mean, given that he's a hero and all (even if the only reason for that is because he just kills stuff) I don't think it's likely that it'll be the main antagonist in the book series whose chief characters don't even feature in the game. 15:19, August 14, 2011 (UTC)
Well, King Roald mentions Kara-Meir, so it's safe to say they're at least mostly canon (problems with scale theory aside). Believe it or not, it's just me... 15:23, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

99 Slayer?Edit

During Raptor's chat with Kuradel, she mentions that he should be teaching HER about Slaying, and should be able to get their own cape, and that how all the tasks she gives Raptor are considered easy ... and then just sends Raptor off to slay 5000 Dagonath. (Guess that might keep The Raptor busy for an hour or 2 until the next task request)

The signature Heroes in daemonheim old pic, shows a warrior at the left side, it should be raptor, so, guessing Raptor is a male.

Predator Edit

Anyone else think the feathers look kind of like the predator's "hair"; both wear a mask; and the names have some similarities. Dsctatom 03:07, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

East Ardougne Castle Edit

Prior to my edit, the page said that The Raptor appeared outside East Ardougne's castle during the Biohazard quest. Has anyone seen him there while not doing this quest? Or should I put that part back, and move the line to the Quest Appearances section?

...For that matter, checking his/her other locations for accuracy wouldn't hurt.--108.66.17.23 11:48, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

Who is Raptor? Edit

Could it be the forgotten warrior from the "Vengeance" Fremmenik Saga?

No, the forgotten warrior is female. And the forgotten warrior dies at at least some of the endings. KwekkoTalkSummer pie 11:19, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Gender Edit

Can we even be positive that Raptor is a male? I haven't seen any proof as of yet. Anyone have any? Law rune Samberen Nature rune 07:52, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

About Trivia Edit

The trivia states he plays the 1st signature hero to play a massive role in a quest. Wasnt that xneia from the f2p quest that takes u on the adventure the 1st? or if that wasn't big enough wasn't that smither lady in the deadly catch the main reason why the quest was successful?

THE RAPTOR FEMALE??

I suppose that the raptor is a female, mybe a human, but i really think she is hidding her true identity and she may appear in some random quest as a simple lady..... IDK.....

Something everyone seems to have missed?

The Raptor appears in one of the loading screens when starting up the RuneScape client with his helmet lifted revealing his face which appears to be human. And male (or a very manly female). I have added this to his appearances on the page.13:13, September 3, 2012 (UTC)Kenix

I'm not sure which loading screen do you mean. I've looked at the list we have on the Wiki and he appears in none. Is the screen you mean here? If not, could you upload it to the Wiki? Thank you Stone of Jas detail Talk Habblet 113 Ring of kinship 13:39, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

RaceEdit

The second paragraph says the race is unknown. The infobox says human. Which is it? Blaze_fire.png12.png 19:56, June 24, 2013 (UTC)

Keep unknown. The third Above the Lore is really interesting on this subject and suggests the raptor's gender, race, etc. is to be left ambiguous. 18px-Avatar.png Fswe1 Lore project
