A god?[]
Whether The Kendal, Fossigremen, and Draugen are gods has been discussed heavily in the past. I'm fairly certain that they have been settled on as non-gods, and are usually considered powerful spirits of nature. It has never even been suggested in-game that they are anything beyond this. - There is no real proof the Kendal isn't a god. I did the quest a week ago and I clearly remeber that the impostor says that he based his "act" on one of the local gods. Just because the spirits the fremenniks worship isn't gods, it don't mean we can rule out the possibility of him being a real god, or atleast a demigod, like Het, Crondis and the others. Take, for instance, the conversation with the Wise Old Man. When speaking to him, if you question him about the Fremennik people, the subject of the Mountain Camp comes up. When your character comments that they're all mad, he responds by saying that their worship of nature spirits is "rather foolish". The simple fact that the spirits interact with the world so closely seems to rule out the possibility. The Edicts of Guthix state that no god may directly interact with Gielinor, and the subject of the Desert Gods being an exception has come up in game and been explained before. The Fremennik spirits, though, have never been discussed, and we know Jagex is trying to tie up all their old, jumbled storyline holes. This seems to suggest that Jagex doesn't it even debatable. - As you say, the Desert Gods isn't affected by the Edicts, and they're still considered gods. Also, we can't trust the Wise Old Man. He claims there exist only three gods, he have robbed a bank, he's a follower of Saradomin and he tries to hide the existance of Zaros. If your going to take his word for this, then you might as well take a pope's word for that the hindu deities don't exist. Antonstaen 16:53, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
After going back and looking at the cutscene of the fight with the Kendal, I take back what I said. You were right that the tribe refers to them as gods. I'm still not one hundred percent convinced that they actually are full-fledged gods, but I do think they ought to be listed, at least. My bad. ;) I guess this would probably make the Fossigrimen a goddess as well. I still don't think the Draugen is a god like some do, though; his examine info is "the spirit of the drowned" or something like that. The fact that the Fremennik hunt him seems to make his godhood pretty unlikely. Morian Smith 03:37, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Does it worth to mention that "Kendal" can be reffered to a "13th warrior" movie? There was a tribe with similar name - "Wendol", that have the appearance of both man and bear. BP_Vital
