Xp
Edit
Umm... I noticed that there are tables for the summoning xp for the familiars above level 60... how can this be proved? Nobody has acheived that level yet.--Zeeus 01:42, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Fight
Edit
Do they fight when not in multicombat areas? Dreadfowl strike cannot be used when not
Nevermind, it doesn't.
Separate pages for familiars and specials
Edit
This is pointless and irrelevant. Every page about the specials of each familiar is about two sentences long, with nothing really to add to them. The whole lot of them could be added to the familiar pages without losing any of the impact; in fact, they should. Chocotard 07:11, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- I do not support-this is due to the fact that spells and many other "short" pages have thier own page, yet have never been merged. In future, it may be that animations of each special move get added, making it too large to fit in a normal table. Artwich 16:01, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
- No support - the main issue is to improve the description of the summoning skill. The main page already is ridiculously low in useful content. The key challenge for any summoning skill trainer would be to balance several complicated issues (cost, effort needed to collect items, benefits of using the scrolls, summoning experience speed). Comprehensively presenting this information in a useful way is quite challenging. Miw 10:32, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Evidently the decision was not to have separate pages. However there are now a lot of links on familiar pages which redirect back to the same page (eg the Howl scroll link on the Spirit wolf page). This seems to me to be a bad thing. Is there an efficient way to fix it, or does someone have to go through each familiar page? Again judging from the Spirit wolf page, I guess the text should be made bold instead of a link? Stewbasic 20:26, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Claysies?
Edit
I just saw this page and realised that there is no mentioning of the Clay Familiars? Should all 5 kinds be descirbed too? Kayteen7 23:47, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- --AppA 18:49, 3 January 2009 (UTC) Dont worryed i was trying to complete the information of this page and the clay familiar, they are now the "see also" section.
No examines for familiars or scrolls?
Edit
Most other items in the game, as well as monsters and NPC's have examine fields. Shouldn't familiars, scrolls, and pouches also? I don't know how or whether to change the template. Luckytoilet 02:24, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
- I've added the "examine" parameter for both pouches and scrolls. az talk 09:20, November 6, 2009 (UTC)
XP
Edit
Shouldn't the pouch creation XP be shown as well? --75.119.235.4 00:00, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Magpie poisoning range?
Edit
I've been fighting using range with a magpie summoned, and discovered I'd been somehow poisoning my targets (in non-multi-combat areas). See magpie page for more info. Can someone else help me test this? No one else on the internet anywhere seems to have experienced this, maybe because the magpie isn't commonly used? Sorry if this is out of place. Improve Template
Edit
For the familiar template at the bottom of each familiar, I'm pretty sure we can make it look better, why not divide it into 4 sections (Gold, Green, Crimson, and Blue). Each section will have a familiar that fits the category. --King x treme 22:17, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Using the Knowledge Base for images? What?
Edit
Ok, pretty almost all of the images for familiars are from the Knowledge Base. I'm not gonna say names, but the person who uploaded them obviously hasn't read RS:IMAGE. The policy clearly states:
| “ | Images must be created by the wiki community, not by other fansites or the Game guide. Most websites ask that the images featured there not be used elsewhere, and it is RS Wiki's policy to honor that request. | ” |
CLEARLY. And yet most of the images are from the Kbase.
Did we discuss this before or something and I wasn't there to help with the discussion? Did an admin say "ok, familiars are an exception", or did I just miss that part?

Foragers Giving XP
Edit
Don't see it mentioned anywhere, but anyway: It is only a minor boost but it seems as if foraging familiars give xp when ever they collect. I have only tested this with the Granite Crab (only have access to that one so far) but it seems as if you get 5 xp ever time they collect something. The xp is towards the relevant skill, so in this case fishing.--Ramb4ldi 14:26, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
Current state of page
Edit
This page REALLY needs help, I really want to unfortunately I won't be available to help until saturday/sunday, I plan to do a major revamp of it, reorganize it, and remove duplicate info --Cahoszerox 07:15, January 22, 2010 (UTC)
Dungeoneering Familiars
Edit
Since the release of the Dungeoneering skill, there have been a whole new set of familiars not listed anywhere on the wiki. Would someone make a list and let me know where it is? 01:34, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
Boost/Combat level
Edit
In the boost column, it shows the combat level of familiars until vampire bat. Should this be taken out, or should the combat level column be taken out, and merged with the boost column? It seems a bit messy with two columns telling the same thing.
Blasty Talk 09:35, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Go ahead, take it out of the second column for each item, smart call. I'll shrink some of those pics also, way too big, making the page lag.--Degenret01 09:41, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Transparent images
Edit
Can we get transparent pics for the Spirit Scorpion and Ice Titan? Their images stick out like a sore thumb currently.UltraMantis 01:32, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
- Be my guest! Take the shot and make a transparency! It's just that easy! (/sarcasm) TheLastWordSword 17:25, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
Image Sizes
Edit
If the images on this page aren't large enough to see in detail, I can't see which pouches to buy and take shots of. I'm going to bump the image sizes up, so others can see easily to contribute as well. Thanks in advance for the team effort. ![]()

Age Criterion
Edit
I may start proposing an age cut-off, below which nothing but Editor status can be possessed. Consensus is not necessary to such a policy. I Squish You! 19:32, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
Attack Styles?
Edit
I've been searching high and low for an article that lists the attack styles of each combat famliar grouped by that style. I could have sworn I saw an article with this information recently but I can not find it now.
Specifically, I am searching for familiars that give Ranged xp during combat.
IntrepidX 03:09, October 1, 2011 (UTC)
Intrepid, if you click on the summoning guide on runescape itself, it shows you what type of XP each familar gives you.
Granite Crab
Edit
The granite crab's life points is different than the one on the page, it is stated it is 160 lp, but on it's page it says there 390, one of these obviously need correcting
