I thought it's use was in wilderness, where you cannot be hit whilst wearing it? Just wait until the pkers disappear? I don't own one so i don't really know. --Eucarya 08:21, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

It's the same as the Easter Ring. It gives you no advantages...when attacked you unmorph. The Wilderness thing was one of the infinite rumours circulating at the time regarding it, 'cos it was a nifty piece of kit back then. RS1Edit

That model was definitely NOT in RS1. RS1 used 2D sprites, not 3D models. Although the rocks in RS1 did look a lot like that, and that's what they looked like in the beginning of RS2, that model was not used in RS1. 64.2.133.76 23:26, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Sliding around, eh? Edit

Sliding glitch surely haven't been worked out, yet it's quite simple. As example certain 'tools' used to perform it, as example then, commorb(v2 tho), scanning a scan after another, spamming the option, whilst charater actually attempting to go to clicked location , this some what 'holds' the charater, even that it really is moving, while not the charater, but then again it is, complicated issue indeed, but yeahhyy, while this spamming, you'd simply turn into stone after stopped it, charater turns into stone, slides to spot where account was going, or actually, is.. This surely occurs with easter ring & bone brooch, too - obviously.

Also do add when that glorious day comes by, that some1 actually dwells in here, do notice to update about rock's matching with those of karamja, etc stones, since they be updated, all of them, none to remain matchable with the rock from the ring, aye?

Warning: Fake Edits about Ring of Stone by Smokin Mils Clan Edit

Warning: Keep an eye out for fake edits on the Ring of Stone by a popular manipulation clan called "Smokin Mils". Recently there has been a lot of photoshopped images (FAKE Youtube Videos too)of jagex claiming the stone is going to be updated but then the statement being quickly edited out 5 minutes after it was posted in the BTS. These are all fake. The Smokin Mils website also has several threads from higher ups telling their members to spam the RSOF with threads claiming the stone is going to be updated and spread as much as rumors as possible. Recently, a particular spam thread got the attention of a Jmod on the RSOF which was locked as price manipulation further proving that the this is indeed FAKE. QFC: 16-17-519-62841394

Please be wary of buying the stone for purposes of making quick cash, you'll probably lose it as the ring is not going to be updated.

P.S. the only way the ring would be updated is if Jagex were to update how the stones look when you transform in them because of the update to various mining rocks a month or so ago. Remember we already have the Onyx Ring (i) which effectly makes making onyx rings semi worthwhile again. A lot of items are useless/cosmetic in RuneScape, the Ring of Stone is no different.

That has got to be one of the cheapest scams I have seen! Thank God a J-Mod has now locked that thread.

Effectively, it's tied in with the fact that onyx rings are used to make onyx ring(i) and the price on onyx, thus making this item hard to come by...or something. Teh alch 05:41, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
