Suggestion for a guide (Crafting Mud runes)

I've been crafting mud runes for a while now, and I'm not too sure why it's not listed on the guides list.

It's great profit per hour, I can't give an exact number, but it's definitely between 1.5m and 2m, with low (ish) requirements.

I highly recommend this method as I use it myself!

Need:

  • Ring of duelling (For castle wars teleport)
  • Access to balloon transport to varrock
  • Pouches recommended
  • Be on Lunar spellbook

Try it for yourselves! :)  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 151.224.16.244 (talk) on 20:36, May 25, 2014 (UTC).

Meat Pies

Eating meat pies and then selling the pie dishes (both on the grand exchange ) can rake in a profit of just under 300k (assuming the buy limit of 1000 pies is reached), requiring no skill and minimal investment.

Crafting Nature Runes in the Abyss

This information seems extremely idealistic possibly even unrealistic! I always organize the servers for least ping before I start and I usually get a server with around 32 ping. I have 55 agility, 91 Runecrafting, 61 mining with dragon pick and my weight is -3kg. I installed stop watch software on my computer that allows me to start and stop it with F2 and F3. Even on the most idealistic runs when I sqeeze through the gaps and or mine the rocks on my first try and subtracting 3 seconds for the time it actually takes me to reach my finger to the F keys to start and stop the timer witch is generous. It takes me an average of 1 minute 21 seconds per run and ive repeated it continously untill I could average 10 runs (the ideal runs only). I didn't even include the seconds it takes me to swap out my amulet of glorys every 4 runs or the time it takes for me to repair my rune pouches if I did the average would be considerably higher. So even assuming that every run would be ideal at 1 minute 21 seconds thats 81 seconds per run (3600/81)=44.4 Runs per hour. Am I doing something inefficiently or do these guides assume 0 ping, 0 lag, and 0 mistakes, and 99 Agility and Mining(both of witch should be irrelevant because I only averaged runs where I broke through on the first try)? If so then I don't agree the guide should say "At average speed, one can...do about 60 trips.....per hour". Its still a pretty good way too make money right around 1.5m/hr but the trips per hour rate is pretty off and as a result the cash per time is inaccurate.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.130.238.183 (talk) on 21:26, June 19, 2014 (UTC).

Flatpacks at Misc

Found a good way of making money with miscellania. After completing the Fremmenik Hard tasks (required for blood runs deep), you're able to deposit flatpacks in exchange for more cash than you'd normally pay on the GE. I can make 120 runs from miscellania to the GE in an hour, earning me a profit of 1 526 040 gp. I buy M'gany arm'r cases off GE for 35 gp, although they have a buy limit of 100. After a couple days they accumulate and I can take them to misc and earn 506 gp ea.

I set up a loadout with 27 flatpacks and one charged ring of wealth, switching that one out with the one I have equipped, teleporting between the GE and misc.

Thought this might be useful to add to the moneymaking list.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.219.4.66 (talk) on 08:56, June 26, 2014 (UTC).

Harvesting Pale Energy at the South of Draynor

Requirements: none

All you do is harvest energies from pale wisps and also turn all memories into pale energy.

In about 10mins of doing so you get around 367 pale energy which is around 20,000. This makes it 200,000 gp/h. It is a great method for people who just started as it has no requirements and no starting cash needed at all. Rokit (talk) 13:41, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

Note that at the time of this posting, Cockatrice eggs are going for around 500 Gold on the GE, while regular eggs are going for around 850 Gold. I can't imagine such a tremendous discrepancy will tend to be very temporary, so this method may be entirely outdated and unusable unless you like losing millions instead of making them. 99.100.166.197 07:51, July 2, 2014 (UTC)

Misleading/obsolete guides/updating

I think it would be useful to include disclaimers at the beginning of certain guides so that players don't end up wasting millions on useless methods. Charging Earth Orbs on paper looks pretty because it makes over 1 million an hour nominally and only needs like 68 magic, but the guide neglects to mention that practically no one buys the bloody things: I have (and I'm not exaggerating at all here) made around 300 of them, am offering them for less than half of the GE price, and not a single one has sold in two weeks. A million gold down the drain, for absolutely nothing. On the other hand, sharks are always in demand and can make at least 200,000 an hour, but it's nowhere here, while we have lovely things like making legends scrolls for NEGATIVE 3 million an hour. Brainwasher5 (talk) 21:35, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

There already is a disclaimer at the bottom of the guides. It's the readers' duty to check a method before they invest heavily into it. Sharks are not mentioned because they're not that great. They're maybe 150k/hr max, not within our threshold for inclusion. Steel of legends is there because it used to be an amazing method, but it has fallen out of its prime. MolMan 21:42, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

Really? Then why is making anchovy pizzas here? That's well below the threshold of 150k. So are like, half of all the non-members methods.

It might be useful to add a risk assessment (low-medium-high) to the pages to let readers know how likely they are to see any of the money they invested ever again. So for example clay pretty much always sells, while you might sell one orb per two years if you're astoundingly lucky. Brainwasher5 (talk) 21:44, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

When methods are made, they are past the threshold. Indeed members methods have a higher threshold than nonmembers, but that's because nonmembers have less available to them. MolMan 21:49, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

Is it that far-fetched of an idea to take out money-making methods that haven't been competitive in a really, really long time? And I highly doubt that making anchovy pizzas has, in any point of runescape history, been more profitable per hour than fishing sharks. Brainwasher5 (talk) 02:03, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

If you see a method doesn't work, couldn't you just, ya know, not use it? That idea isn't too farfetch'd. And I'm not sure if you've ever fished sharks, but they're not a good method at all really... MolMan 02:08, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

They barely require any attention, people actually buy them, and you actually make money...which is more than I can say for half of the guides here. I've made 2.4 million so far this membership fishing sharks, which is 2.4 million more than any of the methods I've tried so far on this list. So there's that.

By the way, the point I had about the pizzas up there wasn't that non-members should make as much or more money than members, that'd be preposterous. I'm just saying that fishing sharks makes more money per hour than anchovy pizzas, and certainly makes around 3.2 million more per hour than steel of legends scrolls, yet anchovy pizzas and scrolls are deemed to be acceptable money making methods on this page while sharks "don't pass the threshold".

Sure I can not use the guides that are useless now that I know which ones are useless, but that doesn't mean that this page isn't wasting anyone else's time. Is it too much to ask, ya know, edit the page? It's a wiki. Wikis are supposed to change over time. Refusing to edit out stuff because "it worked at one time" on a wiki is much more ridiculous than the concept of someone reading this page and trying out a method to see if it works. Brainwasher5 (talk) 13:46, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

It does change over time. The idea is that if something was a good method at one point, it can be good again. I've talk it over with the other people who are heavily involved in this project about deleting steel of legends. As for anchovy pizzas, that was making over 4m/hr a couple years back. The list changes to sort by profit so that methods that lose profitability don't stay at the top. Sharks and fishing in general are just not good money makers. MolMan 13:55, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

Can they be updated...more? When was the last time steel of legends scrolls was good? Also, saying that sharks are a bad money maker is an oversimplification if I ever saw one. EVERY single guide here makes some generous assumptions: that the inputs required are easy to get, that they will sell reliably, and that prices don't fluctuate much (at least, not enough to warrant a semi-constant updating of this page apparently). None of these are always true in the Runescape economy. A theoretical profit of 1 million per hour doesn't mean jack if you can't obtain the raw materials or you can't find a seller for the finished goods. Sharks can ALWAYS be found, and they ALWAYS sell. That in itself is a valuable trait to many. There's a reason that almost every world has around 1-10 people fishing sharks at the fishing guild. Dismissing it as a money making method because it doesn't (in a theoretical, perfect world) make as much money as some of the others listed here (although still substantially more than many of the ones listed here I might add) is more than a little presumptuous.

Which brings me back to one of my original points, I really don't see the harm of adding a box for each of the methods here based on their reliability and risk. I'll do them myself if I have the time, it shouldn't be that hard to implement. Brainwasher5 (talk) 12:55, July 24, 2014 (UTC)

Sharks can be found, but they're slow. I can tell you from personal experience and testing that is just an absolutely awful method for the skills required. I'm not sure what you mean by adding a box, but please don't make any changes like that without a proper consensus. I was mostly rejecting your suggestions based on the then-current consensus of how to handle money making guides. I've been talking it over with the other members of the project, and we've decided to make {{MMG prices}} specifically for the armadyl runes guide, and have also amended the steel of legends guide. In response to your complaint, I added a suggestion to the template that appears at the bottom of every page that acts as a further disclaimer for GE prices. We can't test all of them all the time for the same reason we don't keep street prices. This stuff is too dynamic, and the beauty of these guides is that unless an update changes them (like has happened with muspahs or tormented demons), then the guide shouldn't need to be changed. If you truly truly believe a method can only ever lose money and has been doing so for a long period of time (let's say 3 weeks), you're free to add this new template to the top. MolMan 13:11, July 24, 2014 (UTC)

That's a satisfactory answer to me for the most part. One more thing about sharks though: people like them because they're very low maintenance, so it's a great thing to do while you are doing other things like homework or cleaning. Brainwasher5 (talk) 15:49, July 24, 2014 (UTC)

Turn Goat Horns Into Dust

Just did a test of this a little bit ago, turned exactly one thousand goat horns into dust, in exactly 14:24 and making a profit of 393k, which if I did my math correctly and I did, You can turn 4213.5 goat horns into dust every horn, and the profit that you make off of that is 1,665,905 an hour with exactly zero skills needed, only to be a member and have very little starting cash.

Test Info

Horns cost : 1.436 mil for 1k

Dust sold : 1.829 mil for 1k.

Profit 393k in 14:24 and doing 4213.5 horns in one hour will yield around 1.666 mil an hour.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.51.143.100 (talk) on 03:39, July 20, 2014 (UTC).

Picking Mort Myre Fungus

So, this is a bit inefficient, as using purely prayer renewals is more efficient than prayer renewals and potions. Bloom needs any amount of prayer points to work, so by using prayer renewals instead, you can constantly cast bloom at 1 prayer point. As such, a tad bit over 2k fungus can be collected an hour using morytania legs and the deadliest catch bank deposit box with purely prayer renewals. 2 flasks will last for a bit more than an hour of fungus picking without banking for refills. This makes the profit, at the time of writing this, closer to 2.5m an hour.

Making irit potions (unf)?

I notice that while making most of the potions (unf) is profitable and listed here, irit's not even though the cost of the raw materials is a couple hundred cheaper than the finished product. Is it just not viable? Does no one buy them or something? Brainwasher5 (talk) 20:08, July 25, 2014 (UTC)

When casting fruitfall I find that the area north of the Gnome agility course is best. It allows me to use the Leprechaun from the fruit tree patch to note all the fruit. Including fruit from the bat foraging. And the mini-obelisk allows me to bring more than one fruit bat pouch. Also with the leprechaun noting my fruit I can also pick up bananas, pineapples and oranges as well as papaya for a little extra proift and no stops for banking.

Looting killed cows

After running back and forth with timed runs to and from the Taverley cow pen / Burthorpe bank, I've determined that simply grabbing the loot dropped by people training their skills can yield a significant amount of cash.

If you're killing cows to get all drops, it will take about one and a half minutes to go there, get a full inventory and return to the bank with your loot, stopping by Jack Oval to tan looted hides. A full inventory I got in 1 minute 30 seconds using the Chain spell carefully was worth 9,151 coins market price. For comparison, grinding for just hides yields 12,656 coins but I took 2 minutes 30 seconds to get it.

Calculating carefully, this means 366,040 coins an hour by just killing cows versus 182,246 coins an hour harvesting only the cowhides - over double the coin yield per hour! Kusibu (talk) 02:11, August 9, 2014 (UTC)

Basically, after completing the Elite Seers Village tasks, you'll be able to claim 200 flax from Geoffrey, which you can unnote at the nearby bank and spin into bowstring with the help of the Seer's Headband 2-4. At the time of the post, doing this would give around 78K when the Elite Tasks are completed, 46.8K with the Hard Tasks, 23.4K with the Medium Tasks and 11.7K with the Easy Tasks. There already is a warning that prices are based on the official database. We can't feasibly get profit margins constantly to keep our guides "risk free". It is already recommended to the reader that they check prices before investing heavily in a method. Adding a "risk factor" will be wasted and pointless effort. Buying mithril seeds at market price is easy, usually instant. Selling flowers at around 1300 avg each, also instant sell on g.e gives about 900 gp (conservative) profit each seed.

I timed ~1:22 minutes each set of 27 flowers which gives just 49 sets an hour. 27*49 = 1323 flowers an hour. 1323 * 900 gp = 1.2 million per hour easily

With no starting requirements other than a few hundred thousand gp this definitely belongs on the money making page.

Killing Jungle Spiders

Pretty simple way to make money.... requires fairy rings...
Code: CLS
Kill and pick up jungle spider corpses, bank at Zanaris
Beast of Burden = Less Banking Time
Profit: 1-1.5m/hr(estimated)
Experience: 298xp or so per kill to attack style(~99 constitution xp)

Untested: Using abilities like ricochet to attract more spiders could possibly increase yield.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.221.222.87 (talk) on 21:09, October 23, 2014 (UTC).

New Columns in Hourly Profit Chart

I have some suggestions to add three new columns to the hourly profit chart to help players more. The first column would be the maximum hourly profit. The information in this column would be the total profit made using this method, taking into account the buy limit for the input item(s) required for the money making method. For example, currently, the profit for fletching headless arrows is 480,000 per hour, which is gained when fletching 40,000 headless arrows each hour - the number of headless arrows one could fletch in an hour if they had the supplies. The maximum hourly profit column would tell the user that it would take them 0.25 hours (15 minutes) to make 120,000 gp profit, which is because the buy limit for feathers is 10,000 every four hours, meaning that without stockpiling supplies, the user could only make a 120,000 gp profit, taking them 0.25 hours to do so.

The layout for this column could be:

                                      Maximum Hourly Profit

Fletching headless arrows | 120,000 in 0.25 hours

The second new column that should be added is an Actual Hourly Profit column. The addition of this column would also mean that there would need to be an addition of a way for users to input Grand Exchange prices of items. This column would allow for players to see a true representation of the profit per hour, instead of one based on the market price of items, which is rarely ever the actual price of the item. For this column to work, users would enter in the minimum price required to instantly buy the input item(s) for the money making method, and the maximum price required to instantly sell the finished item(s), at the current time. Based on this information, the column would display a more realistic hourly profit estimate. The addition of this column, however, would require players to input Grand Exchange prices manually, as well meaning that this column could often be inaccurate if the prices of some items fluctuate a lot.

The third new column is a combination of the previous two columns that I thought should be added. The third column would be the Actual Maximum Hourly Profit column. It would take the Actual Hourly Profit value and display a new value based on the buy limit of the input item(s), to show a more realistic hourly profit value for the method.

Of course, if these columns are added to the chart, I would not want the current hourly profit column to be removed, as players who had stockpiled input item(s) for money making could still rely on these numbers for money making. Also, I understand that the second and third column ideas I proposed could be problematic, if players input an incorrect value for the Grand Exchange price of an item. However, I'm sure a solution can be found - in the worst scenario, players could rely on the columns which show data based on the market value of the items, which would be correct.

Tanning dragonhide

Hi, the tanning leather sections would need a new batch. Right now we have 2 packs; Run-tanning (2800 hides per hour) and magic-tanning (5000 hides per hour). We need a new batch for Priffdinas-tanning. It requires alot of levels, but it can tan much much more. I got 11,424 hides on my first hour. It is really click intensive and best done with infinite run. But as a money guide, we cannot refuse to recognize a method 4 times faster than Burthrope or Al-Kharid and that doesn't require hours of livid farm. Proulxs (talk) 16:30, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

Catching Wimpy birds.

Catching Wimpy birds for their feathers.

Requirements

  • 39 Hunter
  • Completed As a First Resort
  • 2 or 3 bird snares
  • Tansymum (found right next to the hunting grounds)

Recommended

  • 40 Hunter to lay 3 traps

Simply teleport to the lodestone, grab around 10 tansymum then run East on the beach until you find a small peninsula on the South side.  Plant your traps in a straight line East to West about 4 blocks from the very Southern edge.  This will allow the birds enough space to fly in your traps quickly enough while avoiding the Kebbits.  After laying 1 trap light a tansymum and just wait, the birds fly in your traps, even when you're right there.  Recommended you stay close because of this.  Staying South should keep you in a bit of a blind spot for the diseased Kebbits (who attack you when using lit tansymum).  Doing this I easily got over 1200 feathers. PenTiger (talk) 04:49, January 2, 2015 (UTC)

Vis Wax

I think there should be a guide for making vis wax. As of Jan. 2015, the average profit is ca. 400K, and it probably takes less than 5 minutes. That would put the effective hourly profit right among the top money-making methods.

Requirement is 50 Runecrafting (to enter the Runecrafting Guild). Recommended items: wicked hood; a reserve of runes (see below).

The player should only use the six cheapest runes or so. If the player insists on getting the "perfect combination" for 100 vis wax, in extreme cases he might pay more in runes than what he gets in vis wax. Even in less extreme cases, the profits will be reduced. Experimenting with more than six or seven runes will not only use more expensive runes; it also takes more tries to experiment, which increases the cost. The cheapest runes can be obtained from the page "Rune Goldberg Machine" on this Wikia. (Unfortunately, the list of cheapest runes may change over time; this may make it harder to design a "dynamic" money-making guide, one that is updated according to current prices.)

The player keeps a decent stock of the six (or seven, or eight) cheapest runes, and uses the wicked hood to teleport to the Runecrafting Guild. As of this writing, the clan chat "viswax" can help find the best runes; but note that only the first rune is the same for all players; also, if the "best" rune happens to be an expensive one, don't use it, since that would reduce your profit.

The player should try to keep a reserve of at least 5-10 times the amount required, of each of the cheap runes, to make vis wax once. For instance, 5000-10,000 of each elementary rune, 1500-3000 chaos runes, etc.

The average vis wax obtained is probably somewhere around 80 vis wax a day (80 x 5925 = 474K coins, as of 2. January 2015); the average cost (using cheap runes) is less than 100K. Assuming the "n" cheapest runes are tried, this can be calculated as the 3/n times the sum of (base cost of each rune). To this, a factor must be added for the number of tries; I would estimate that less than 20 tries are required.

The player may either sell the vis wax, or - since it is very useful - use it himself, and thus save the cost of purchasing it. In either case, the profit calculation is valid.

Turning jugs of wine into jugs of water

Requirements: 163k

Suggested: 200k coins+

You could buy 1k of jugs of wine (1k=163k) off GE and drink them all and use the fountain to turn them into jugs of water (1k=500k) which brings you 337k profit and it takes around an hour!2.125.52.162 16:35, January 10, 2015 (UTC)

If this is added, it should be split into 2 different processes, 1) emptying the jugs of wine (163 each) and turning them into jugs (459 each) and 2) filling the empty jugs with water (which is probably already on here), as one process is likely to be more profitable than the other (my money's on #1). 96.244.144.198 20:57, January 10, 2015 (UTC)

Drinking wine for cash

Hey theres a 300-350ish profit per wine drunk and selling the jug. Wine at time of writing sells for 177 and and jugs 475 but wine is bought for ge price of 177 and jugs sell a bit more than 475 you can drink about 500-700 an hour with banking at the ge and there is a buy limit of 1000. Its a decent f2p profit of about 150k to 210k an hour.24.91.12.184 03:55, January 12, 2015 (UTC)Teer24.91.12.184 03:55, January 12, 2015 (UTC)

Softening Clay

I found a good method of making money is to buy clay from the GE and then softening the clay at the Edgevill Bank. From what I've calculated, a profit ranging from 220k-320k per hour is possible. I would also like to mention that the buy and sell prices for soft clay are not reliable so you need to test it out yourself as the GE price does not reflect the true price most of the time.

Claiming logs from Coeden

After the Elite Tirannwn Task Set, one may claim 28 logs from him daily. The logs range from 28 Yew logs, 28 Magic logs, 28 Elder logs, or a random combination thereof. 28 Elder logs is the best result, and although 28 yew logs are undesirable, the elder logs will, over time, balance out the yew logs. Flax into bowstrings

I really don't know why this hasnt been listed here yet but I've been spinning flax into bowstring forever and I've found that (and this is a number I came up with that's within reason that doesn't require me to go crazy) I can spin 1500 bowstring per hour. So if I buy 1500 flax at 77gp for  cost of 115,500gp and spin it all into bowstring ad sell it all for 379 each for a total of 568,500gp I would be making 453,000gp per hour. I do this by spinning in lumbridge castle since that and Seers' Village both have banks very close to a spinning wheel. Just thought I'd throw that out there for you to add.

Divination

Making Signs of Life, Death and Respite III all can turn decent profits per hour making them, the only hitch is getting enough energy to coninually do so, but even if you needed to buy above mid GE price for mass quantities of it from the forums, you still turn a decent profit, and thus I feel they're methods worth mentioning. 74.38.225.173 16:53, February 6, 2015 (UTC)

Risk Factor

After reading some of these topics, I have seen a lot of people suggesting a risk factor.

In all of these risk factor topics, dear MolMan replies that is wasted effort.

I disagree. A lot of players just see the money they can make per hour and get really excited. Example: the ophibian incubation.

The majority of the players don't look all the way down the bottom to read that they should check prices first.

Thus resulting in major gold loss.

In conclusion: adding a risk factor, or just putting the disclaimer on the TOP of each page, will lead to less loss. I hope to see answers from other contributors than MolMan. Since he is not the only wiki editor.

Killing Gargoyles and Dark Beasts

Unfortunately, I have no idea what the money per hour is, but I can say that I've made millions off of dark beasts and can certainly make profit from gargoyles too.

To the guy above me: Putting the disclaimer at the top of the page would make it uglier but safer. Neutralino (talk) 21:54, February 9, 2015 (UTC)

Exiled kalphites. Bring protable forges (20k~ each) and use full inventories of the chitin on them. the scraps stack, and you can make anywhere from 85k-401k~ per inventory, minus the costs of the forges. Why isn't this added yet?

Ice nihils

Nihils

With at least 87 Summoning, killing Nihils (specifically the ice variant for maximum profit/time) can be a good and fairly reliable method of money making. Ice Nihils drop Elder Charms and Icyene Feathers, which are untradeable drops used for making Ice nihil pouches, which are currently worth 100k. Not sure what the droprate of the feathers are, but they aren't too rare.

In addition to the charms and feathers, all Nihils can drop a variety of mid-priced stackable loot such as Lantadyme seeds (4 at a time), Onyx bolt tips (8 at a time), various mid-tier herbs, Uncut diamonds and the rare drop table. There's also an extremely slim (1 in a million) chance of getting a Zaryte bow, but that's too rare to be reliable.

Finally, Nihils appear in an instanced area, meaning there's no competition for killing them.

EDIT: Alright, I did a 1-hour session of killing nihils. Here's the data I got:

Equipment: Full superior void w/ ranger helmet, dual ccbows, Demon Slayer Boots, Amulet of Fury, RoW, Shard of Zaros. No aura used.

Inventory (per trip): 1 extreme ranging potion, 7 prayer potions, 8 rocktails, (Elite) Enhanced Excalibur, Sixth-Age circuit.

123 Ice nihil kills w/ 3 banking trips.

Input: 24 prayer potions, 21 rocktail, 2 extreme ranging potions, 300k gear repair cost, 1 steel titan pouch, ~20 Steel of Legends scrolls, 1000 Elder energies, 15 pouches. Total cost: about 589211 coins (estimated cost for extreme rangings).

Output: 15 Ice nihil pouches, 21 grimy lantadyme, 35 unicorn horns, 20 diamonds, 65 grimy cadantine, 88 onyx bolt tips, 48 lantadyme seeds, ~300 law runes, ~500k from coin and miscellaneous item drops. Total: about 4293476 coins. (Also got 1250 elder energy drops, but those were used to make the nihil pouches.)

Profit: about 3704265 coins.

Note that prices were calculated using the price checker, and might not accuractely reflect the buying and selling prices of items. Also, the time taken to make the pouches was not included.

Nihil

I'm a little surprised there's no mention of Nihil on this list. In a 1 hour trip killing 140+ it is easy to gain over 1.5m coins - not including the result of making nihil pouches via summoning which easily bumps profits up to over 2.5m 80.72.52.110 06:00, April 3, 2015 (UTC)

Thieving

Could add this to the list.

With 99 thieving + Ardy cape 3 + exoskeleton set.

You can make 525k an hour in cash + the drops from thieving in elf city.

This doesn't take into account all the other stuff you get with loot, just the flat amount of cash you receive.

It's also almost 100% afk.

Over 200k of loss at superheating mithril bars method

Pickpocketing Prifddinian Elves

I'm not very experienced in wiki editing but I think a guide should be made for pickpocketing prifddinian elves. I did some testing at level 98 and got 475-500k cash an hour plus around 400k in items. I did this while wearting the trahearn exoskeleton and arddy cape 4. I didnt bother using the abyssal lurker and its special but it might allow for even more pickpocketing. At around level 96 the first clan you pickpocketed shold have forgotten you by the time you're halfway through the 6th aallowing for continuous pickpocketing without waiting for them to forget. The value of loot gained from any clan averages about even after you factor rarity so it really doesntmatter who you pickpocket so long as you can do it continuosly

tl;dr Pickpocketing Prifddinian elves is about 900k/hr while wearing Trahearn exoskeleton and arddy cloak 4, abyssal lurker and its scrolls are optional

Smoke Nihil

I was able to get about 8m profit in about 2 hours from these guys (including transmuting pouch components and making ice nihil pouches). This was my setup:

  • 3 Holy overloads
  • 42 Prayer potions
  • 2 Pack yaks (with Winter Storage)
  • Death lotus darts (main and off-hand)
  • Full Armadyl
  • Sixth-age circuit
  • Dragon rider amulet
  • Ava's accumulator
  • Soul Split and Anguish curses active

I would suggest the following requirements/recommendations:

  • Fate of the Gods required
  • 90+ Ranged and Defence recommended
  • 96+ Herblore recommended
  • 92+ Prayer highly recommended; 95+ useful
  • 87+ Summoning highly recommended (for pouches); 96+ useful for yaks
  • 81+ Divination recommended (trasmutation for maximum pouch profit, though players can stockpile pouch ingredients until they reach the recommended level)
  • Tier 80+ ranged weapons highly recommended
  • Tier 70+ power armour will suffice; degradable armour not necessary

With these recommendations met, food should not be needed. With Ranged, players can also hit Ice nihil accurately and Shadow nihil somewhat accurately if Smoke nihil are not nearby. Blood Nihil are not recommended.

I'll be visiting the Freneskae pit a few more times to get a more accurate estimate of gp/hr. This seems to be a wonderful way to make money, and there is no reason it should not be on the list of money making guides. CapnCoconuts (talk) 21:11, June 24, 2015 (UTC)

Adding ROI to every guide when includable.

It's kinda dissapointing that you could make 10k in an hour, but you need to invest 14m or something. So, for guides that require inputs, add a ROI to it, if there are no inputs, don't put anything. SistemX 18:42, June 28, 2015 (UTC)
