Mini Game, Minigame, or Mini-game?[]

Chompy bird hunting[]

I know that the quest page talks about how to do this the first time, but isn't it a minigame of sorts to hunt chompies for the hats? I can't find anywhere that talks about the rewards given for that minigame (on this site at least, Tip.It has a lot of info about it). Does anyone think it would be a problem if I worked on a page about hunting chompies/jubblies and the rewards that can be recieved from that minigame? There are more hats than just one "bowman's hat", although only one is shown in the Bowman hat article, and the others barely mentioned. I think chompy hunting should be classified as a minigame. The final reward for getting all hats as I understand is 30k range xp, so it sounds like either minigame or miniquest - kytti khat 23:38, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Misc. Kingdom Management[]

Yet another thing that I think should be classified as a minigame is the Miscellania Kingdom management reward from the related quests. Anyone agree? If so please add. - kytti khat 23:38, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

This doesn't really seem to suit the whole mini-game list. It is more like a strategy to get items and if anything I believe it should stay under guides, and not be put in a class. MonsterMan RS Name theskk 2 03:05, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Champion's Challenge[]

I know the Knowledge Base lists it as a Minigame, but the tasks of the challenges can only be performed once. Shouldn't it go into Miniquests then? --69.143.249.15 16:59, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Move to "Minigames"[]

Hyaneste had moved this page from "Minigame" to "List of minigame" in 3 January 2007, because back in those days the article WAS a list of minigames. However, now, it is no more a list of minigames, as it contains some information regarding each minigame.

I propose that this article is moved to "Minigames" in line with "Quests".

p.s. Redirects need to be taken of, and links to the original page ("List of minigames") needs to be fixed to link directly to the moved page ("Minigames"). az ^talk 05:17, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Combat and non-combat[]

I think these two categories are ineffective for describing the minigames. examples:

1) Ranging minigame listed as combat. Uses the ranging skill, but does not feature actual fighting (unless you consider the archer towers to be a minigame, which I don't) 2) Stealing creation listed as non-combat. Contains elements of combat even if it's not necessary (skilling game). Axearmour1 11:14, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

Missing Content and Incorrect Classifications[]

Rogue Trader be removed from the list of miniquests because it has repeatable rewards. It is already on the list of activities.

Chimp ice be added to the list of activities because it has repeatable rewards. Currently the chimp ice information is on the chimp ice item page and needs a new page of its own for the activity.

Kingdom Management be added to the list of activities because it has repeatable rewards. It already has a page called "managing Miscellania."

Creature Creation be added to the list of activities because it has repeatable rewards. It already has a page called "creature creation."

The Mage Arena activity be reclassified as a miniquest, because it has a one time reward after killing Kolodian for the mage spells and god capes and staffs. It already has a page called "mage arena."

Chompy Hunting be added to the list of miniquests because it has a one time reward. This needs a page of its own as well with proper links to the existing strategy page. (Even though the action of hunting can be repeated, no benefits are gained.)

Someone has added the Herblore Habitat area to the activities list, but J-Mods have clearly stated in the forums it is not an activity. I would remove it myself but I am not experienced enough with the wiki-editing. Can someone please fix this? However I do really like the area ;) Teh Chicken 02:21, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

I have made an extra table with unofficial activities. I think these still deserve a place on this page.

They're still refered to as Activites in-game in the task list and on the Activities Hiscores. Just because game guide says Minigames doesn't mean anything. Maybe the game guide is refering to activites as minigames and things that aren't activites as minigames? Similar to how a square is a rectangle but a rectangle isn't a square. I've added it to the trivia section as I believe it deserves to be mentioned on this page given its EXTREMELY common classification as one by quite a few players. However, owing to the controversy of this particular viewpoint, I'm not adding it into the unofficial minigames list yet.

Because that was actually the update logo, not the runespan logo, so it was replaced with the runespan essence.

Great Orb Project, a 'skill' minigame?[]

GOP is listed under a description "These minigames focus on certain skills to achieve a goal." The skill that GOP supposedly focus on is said to be Runecrafting. This, however, is erroneous. Runecrafting doesn't help in any way to score more orbs in a game of GOP. Therefore, it is not a skill minigame, and that description does not fit it ! Timome (talk) 09:08, January 23, 2014 (UTC)

Four or five[]

In the beginning, it is said that there are four free to play minigames. In the minigame list in the Clan Wars part it is said the clanwars is one of the 5 minigames.
