Edit
It is not confirmed whether or not you can use Zuriel's staff on a regular members world that is not a PvP world and have its special (giving access to Miasmic spells) work. Additionally, Castle wars is not available on PvP worlds, so the max hit of this spell is 32, unless someone confirms what I said above. Ice barrage may still be the highest hitting spell, along with the god spells with a castlewars bracelet. Please consider this information and maybe someone with Zuriel's staff could respond. =)

- This spell CAN be used outside of PvP worlds, along with all other PvP world equipment. So, this spell is the highest-hitting spell. --TheWeirdOne876 18:53, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
NPCs
Edit
Can this spell be cast on NPCs? If so, does it also halve their attack speed? Cry 4 Merci 15:52, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Cry 4 Merci
It can be cast on npc's, however it doesn't affect their attack speed. --Eat ham2 19:09, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

Edit
Could someone able to cast these spells record a picture (possibly an animated gif). It doesn't seem clear to me now how these spells look
This applies to all miasmic spells.

Poor wording
Edit
"However, the extremely high cost and the high level requirement (meaning that mages using this spell would easily be disabled by a couple of specials from the Seercull bow, the Dragon hatchet, or even the dragon pickaxe) are major drawbacks."
The high cost and high level requirement are completely unrelated to the special attacks of the seercull, dragon hatchet or dragon picaxe. The special attacks hinder the effectiveness of the spell, but these should be mentioned separately (if at all, since they apply to any magic spell) and not in parentheses in a sentence talking about cost and level requirement.
Change as you see fit.
It's worded fine. Except for the "cost" bit(runes?) which doesn't really fit at all to my knowledge. The high level requirement(97 magic - the highest in the game) has everything to do with the special weapons. Say a spell has a requirement of 80 magic, the user of said spell has 99 magic(not counting any bonuses). You would have to lower thier magic level 20 levels(MAX without bonuses) to disable said spell via them special weapons. Now let's look at miasmic barrage. Level 97 required. Base max is 99. You only have to lower is three levels(MAX without bonuses), which is fairly easy to do with any of them special attacks and thus disables the miasmic barrage. It's FAR easier to disable miasmic barrage then any other spell UNLESS someone has the exact level of the spell they are using which is common with veng and ice barrage(or ice blitZ/burst) for example. Them two examples and miasmic barrage are the main reasons to ever use them special weapons. If someone is using a level 1 to 70 spell and they have 99 magic it's going to be a lot harder to disable obviously.
The only other point I'd mention is that people using this spell or them weapons for that matter are fairly rare. Especially if they met in a fight. It just doesn't happen often in soul wars, pking, or other pvp type games. In castle wars someone might be bringing along full antimage/mage disabling gear, but not many waste the pvp staff in castle wars as opposed to PVP. Which btw it's even rare to see it used in PKing. I pk 30-50+ hours a week and I see the staff maybe once a month if that. I've mostly seen the staff used in clan vs clan wars, which most of the time it's banned from wars due to it's powerful special ability. The bow and other things I usually see(if at all) in soul wars and castle wars, hardly ever in the wilderness except RARELY in multi. World War Ill 16:07, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
