i just got a dragon dagger from one
Ive gotten:

It drops starved effigy too.

What's the chance that this is where QBD's come from? The moment one's killed, another Mature grotworm begins to metamorphosis into another Queen Black Dragon.

Elite Clues
They seem a little weak for Elites tbh, no slayer requirement, easy to reach and easy to kill. I can't find proof of elites from these on any other site. Can anyone confirm that they actually drop elites? Likely to become the best way to farm elites if they do. Tyripe5 03:36, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

Whoever said that they are weak to stab has not tried crush. Crush with goliath gloves hits much more often than a chaotic rapier

Blood rune dropEdit
I think the blood rune drop is a regular drop. Rare drop table drops are usually in the "rare" or "very rare" as a drop, as I've killed a 100 or so and got 50 blood runes three times. This means that it is very unlikely for me to get three rare drop table items as killing 100 is not enough, and my Ring of Wealth does not shine. If it did then I would not be telling a lie, and so I think it's a regular drop. Dungeonmaster12 20:32, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

"When first released, </span>bonecrushers did not crush big bone drops from these monsters. whether or not this is a bug or intentional is unknown as it still doesn't at this time.

Rune Drops Nerfed Edit

Fellstalk seedsEdit
Please stop removing the fellstalk seeds from the drop table. These are non ring of wealth effected drops from the mature grotworms and are common. I know 2 fellstalk seeds are also a row drop, but here, it is also a regular drop from the monster. Exoemo 16:11, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
My friend just dropped a torstal seed so since its not on here i guess its very rare but idk how to put it in :/

I Have received multiple snapdragon seeds from the mature Grotworm w/o the ring of wealth, on a killcount of 150 of these massive creatures, i have received 3 snapdragon seeds from 3 seperate drops
I haven't recieved any snappies in about 200 kills

Rapier v. Goliaths and dropsEdit
First off, I get blood runes and 2 felstalk seeds every trip, so those aren't rare drop table drops.
Secondly, with my rapier, I hit 0's all the time, and although I don't yet have goliaths I hear they pretty much wreck. However, on the strategy guide, it recomends a rapier/CLS (which sucks even worse than the rapier I might add) over goliath gloves. Has anyone actually checked the dps with different weapons? I know the maul has too slow an attack speed for it to matter, but I think the goliaths are under-rated in this case. And whats with the guy in the picture having a korasi? Has anyone been editing the strategy guide at all?

Ring Of Wealth Drops? Edit
I was using a ROW and got 250 noted raw shark drop from one and it didn't give me the chat message either.
I got a ROW drop from these (39 clean toadflax) but my ring of wealth didn't give me the chat message. I was on [ALL] the whole time, and i scrolled up all the way to see if I had gotten any messages that task, but there were none. Rare table is the same for every creature regardless. It could be possible that they drop this on their own.. Or you had game text filter on? 203.97.97.188 02:25, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
Nope, it was entirely luck. Wearing a Ring of wealth can improve the chances, but that doesn't entirely mean that your ring will shine. Sometimes, not wearing it will also cause it to drop, but more unlikely to. Dungeonmaster12 21:38, June 21, 2012 (UTC)
Hey guys I got a snapdragon seed as drop just now i've killed over 100 and its first time i get such drop

I've killed over 200 of these now and not a single "ring of wealth" message appeared, although I have also gotten ROW drops.
Respawn timeEdit
Due to the amount of bots used in the area, it's pretty hard to take any Grotworm for training or looting, i started measuring the respawn time, might be a bit excesive, but by doing so, i registered 35 seconds from the instant their lifebar disappear, to the moment thet respawn.
By using this information, i can even take the worms a bot has, although it's still better to find one and stick to it, rather than running around like the bots.
I suggest we start adding respawn time to monsters on bot infested areas, for player use.

Not all rune drops removedEdit
I killed some today andstill recieved rune daggers,maces and helms, but got adamant sq shields. I believe only the most valuable rune items(shields,bodies...) got replaced by adamant counterpartsSubrosian1 (talk) 04:12, August 18, 2012 (UTC)

Feedback UpdatesEdit
These things got a lot harder to kill with the update on June 17, 2013. Also, amount of Slayer experience received went up to about 360-361 each. Not sure on exact number. CrystalMagician (talk) 14:06, June 17, 2013 (UTC)
Try to kill a few and note how many it takes for the number of slayer xp to change between your two guesses, eg 2 kills for it to change from 360 - 361 would probably put it near 360.4xp,
