wasn't it Strom not Storm?

Yes. I remember someone commenting on the forums (Ivan Strom = I Vanstrom, perhaps.) JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 20:06, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Question: Is it possible that Ivan Strom and Vanstom Klause be decendants to Ivandis Seergaze, the latter having succomed to the Vampyres?

Salve 'Evidence'[]

It says Also, the presence of Werewolves dragging off the man and knocking your player out, even though the power of the river Salve was supposed to repel them

Which has been proven untrue in Betrayal at Falador, as shown by the werewolves Jerrod and Gar'rth. Should that section be removed?Drakolord7 17:46, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

A theory[]

I have a theory not touching base in this article. What if Ivan is Vanstorm's SON, who, disgusted with the Vampyre race, willing drank a balance potion. It seems that the Myreque know more about his past than they let on about. Additionally, why is it that Vanstrom has tried to kill Ivan personally, with several attacks by his soldiers? Why did the Myreque evacuate him, over all others? Who is your lead Vampyre informant? It all fits! Anyone? --76.127.155.176 15:55, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, yes, it fits (and it would make an excellent plot twist in a novel!). But, there are a few possible problems: from what I have seen in the Myreque series so far (up to Darkness of Hallowvale), there are conflicting opinions on whether vampyres are made or born (as in the message in the chimney, it says they are "produced", along with the fact that there are many different levels of vampyres, the lowest (Juveniles) are said to be converted from a bipedal creature, not born. Yet, Ranis and Vanescula are supposedly the son and daughter of Lord Drakan, so this has possiblity. Along with this, I doubt that a vampyre would have compassion for humans, due to the fact that they are simply viewed as a food source. Finally, it would be exceedingly difficult to obtain a Guthix balance potion, due to the fact that they were unknown untill Gadderranks revealed a list of ingredients and a suspiscious amount of travel would be required on his part to even get a human to produce the potion (he could not produce it himself due to the fact that he would have to handle garlic, silver, and have to go above the ectofuntus, which repels vampyres). Also, Guthix Balance Potions do not convert Vyrewatch into a human form, only harm them. Getting a potion when and if he was ever a Juvinate/Juvenile would be exceedingly difficult, if not impossible. To finish it all up, the Myreque do not seem suspicious or nervous about him in the least. Wrathanet 21:33, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Illusion[]

Whose idea was it to say he is an illusion? Whoever made him (if that is the case), must be extremely skilled to make an illusion that is able to fight and harm enemies (as seen when he is given a silver sickle before being escorted to Paterdomus), as well as be harmed himself and hold items (like when you give him armor, weapons, food, etc. before the escort). And why does the word illusion link to Glouphire? You think that he would be willing to team up with the vampyres (who, by the way, live on the complete opposite side of RuneScape) and make such an intricate charade when they could simply disguise a vampyre as human (like Vanstrom). Ignore this comment, as that has been removed. Wrathanet 01:02, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
