The page states:

A: "Demolition of the Gravestone causes items underneath to appear for around 30 seconds before disappearance, and natural destruction removes the items immediately. Therefore, it may be a good idea to pick up items while the gravestone is still standing, and pick up the most valuable items if a gravestone is about to collapse."

and

B: "If you demolish your own gravestone, the items will remain there for as long as the gravestone would last if it were not demolished. For example, if your gravestone had 5 minutes left and you demolished it, the items under will stay there for 5 minutes, no more, no less, and other players couldn't see the items just as if the gravestone was still there. "

So one says your items will be able to last only 30 seconds, while the other one says the time left. Which one is true and which one is false?Fearthe1337 17:51, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

I dropped a mime mask on top of a grave marker. It says here you can't do that.

It's a one-time pay. It stays with you until you buy a new one. Please read the article and sign your comments on the talk page next time =)

Jagex probably added in the gravestones to compensate for the new trade limits. i.e. if someone died and a friend picked up their stuff, he/she wouldn't be able to get it back from the friend if the items were over worth 3,000 gold (generalised assumption), unless the friend was patient enough to wait. You will leave a gravestone, but you won't take any items with you to your re spawn point(or 1 item with protect item prayer), and your gravestone will contain all items there --

Reduction of Animation Edit

I have taken the step of reducing all non-essential animation of the page. I have left the animation of a gravestone appearing due to it displaying information on the formation of a gravestone whereas animations on the blessing of a gravestone and a crumbling gravestone can be covered with still images. I have also removed the demolition of a gravestone due to it's similarity to that of a crumbling gravestone.

Lost kit in chaos tunnels? Edit

I just died in the chaos tunnels while fighting the black demons. I ran back in plenty of time and my gravestone was still fully there, but no items. Why? Are the chaos tunnels not included in the functionality for gravestones?

graveseller wont sell Edit

Unreadable gravesEdit

Why can't you read some gravestones? It says "The inscription is too unclear to read." --Iiii I I I 15:57, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

The trivia section says this is to do with dying in a bank, but I don't think this is true. I've certainly gotten this message outside of banks, and my friend and I just read each others' graves in Edgeville bank. When I logged out, she got this message, and when I logged back in, she could again read it, so I think it indicates that the player is not logged in. Stewbasic 03:31, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

The formulas at the end are the same, Im surprised noone has pointed that out yet. exp(n) is the same as e^n, which is not 10^n.

In any way, the formulas are of extremely simple nature and their presence is, in my view, somewhat unjustified.

ATM, the page says about being unable to read an inscription to be "the player who owns the gravestone has already retrieved their items and no items will appear when the gravestone collapses. This message is also displayed if the player has logged out." However, I just came across a marker at the varrock lodestone that had 45 seconds to remain, and I attempted blessing it, it told me the marker couldn't be blessed again, so I waited and for the first time ever, I got some items from it as soon as the marker disappeared. I suppose if the player had been logged out, then the inscription becomes illegible even if items are left under it... Just thought this experience might help in some way, I hope so anyway. Multiple gravestones Edit

I can confirm that If a player dies and loses items when a gravestone belonging to him is already standing, that gravestone and all items belonging to it are destroyed immediately and a new one is set up at the new site of death. (valid as of 07 October 2009) is true, tested by thieving in my respawn falador and losing 1gp (oh, my life is ruined!). Benzeman 17:43, October 7, 2009 (UTC)

Comment on above: If the first gravestone was blessed then that gravestone gets destroyed but the items will be on the ground for the amount of time the gravestone was blessed. Michels 01:32, Januari 6, 2010 (UTC)

Offline players Edit

It's only possible to repair or bless a gravestone when the owner of the gravestone is online. When the player is offline the gravestone reads: "The inscription is too unclear to read." Michels 02:09, Januari 6, 2010 (UTC)

I was in godwars dungeon, and I died having a few 100m fall underneath my gravestone. I was in a panic but managed to get my friend to bless my gravestone after my timer had disappeared. I watched it go to 00:00 disappear then reappear immidiately after disappearing at 60:00, or 60 minutes. I was very greatful, but believe this is some what a glich or improper timing between the animation for the fading of the gravestone and the timer. Trivia Edit

Is this line of trivia really necessary? It's not something that really can be considered constant...

If you die with an "Angel of Death" gravestone in a non-member world,you will see a mass amount of people repairing and/or blessing your gravestone!

imo, that trivia can be removed, as it's not all that trivial - it's just f2pers in awe over a member grave.

Royal dwarven gravestone Edit

What a joke. 500k to buy a grave that lasts 6 minutes- just like the angel of death, which nearly every high-level player (those who can do King of the Dwarves) already has! It's a waste of money and a bad reward for a Master quest. --Andorin (Talk) (Contribs) 23:03, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

time duration to pick what to keep Edit

this is the thrid time i died and i wanted to save my items that once dropped u lose like excalibur and tokkul ring (fully charged) after 5 secs i lose the interface and i cant choose anymore and gf items.

Is this a bug or a constant time thing because im used to taking my time up to 1 min sometimes choosing?
