Lasting
Edit
First they last 1h, now they last 5h?
Can someone confirm it?
I can confirm that they last for 2 hours. Also the degrade times (unarmed and armed) are:
The gloves are: start "in perfect condition", 1 hit "slightly degraded", 1 hour "very degraded", 1.5 hours 'almost falling apart', 2 hours -are "have fallen apart" 72.49.114.215 20:13, November 11, 2011 (UTC)

- I did like one slayer task and they were almost used up. So I would say 1 hour. 70.44.164.214 22:52, November 7, 2011 (UTC)
anyone reckon goliayh gloves with d defender could be a good substitute for zammy spear of sara sword at waterfiends or other similar crush-weak monsters?
I just did a waterfiends task with the gloves and they did REALLY good (i was also using turm and exts though, which I didn't use for tasks prior to getting them)
I've also used them at Waterfiends in Chaos Tunnels (multi) with steel titan, dreadnip, acp and skirt, with deflect range. and much ownage was had. The steel titan didn't make it, so I'd recommend at least a second pouch for intensive fighting. A bunyip is another viable alternative as it resulted in a LOT of raw food on the ground. However, as its multicombat, you really don't want to slow down and end up getting piled. The ganodermic poncho would allow extensively long trips there due to its huge magic defence and soaking. This could then be complimented with soul split for healing as required. Alternatively, with summoning pots, bunyip pouches and scrolls, I imagine you could stay at waterfiends gathering crimsons and drops for hours on end. 182.239.214.71 10:00, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
Strength bonus of Goliath gloves confirmed
Edit
I hit an orange 526 on the Decaying Avatar in the Dominion Tower with these gloves equipped.
I had a Bandos Chestplate, Bandos Tassets, Amulet of Fury, Helm of Neitiznot, Dragon boots, Dragon Defender, Ring of Vigour and Goliath Gloves equipped. The total Strength bonus was 47.
Using Tip.It's Max Hit Calculator, I confirmed this max hit to be an addition of +82 Strength over the initial 47 (129 total strength bonus equivalent). This is exactly the same as an abyssal whip, and so I conclude that the Goliath gloves give an invisible +82 Strength bonus when no weapon is equipped (this bonus stacks on top of the glove's current Strength bonus). any estimates on accuracy bonuses? or should we assume accuracy only depends on other gear equiped?
Considering the added Strength bonus is the same as an Abyssal Whip, I'd guess that the attack bonus is also +82, but we can't be sure. It does feel like whip accuracy though.Halkod 14:36, November 8, 2011 (UTC)
Particle animation
Edit
Why do you guys keep removing it after I add it? Lol cmon seriously. Tal Ormanda 06:19, November 9, 2011 (UTC)
effect removed
Edit
Earlier when the update first came out the effect (the multi stun and stat drain) was listed on the page, and now it's not anywhere on the page save for sort of in the trivia. shouldn't it be there?
Stunning Special
Edit
I've been using these for quite a while and noticed something strange: If the special activates on your first attack, the monster will not attack back. Also, the special does not seem to register as an attack; it has happened to me several times where my first attack was the special, and then someone else attacked my monster (the hits overlapped) in a non multi area and it was stolen. This would explain its extremely high (100%?) accuracy and the fact that the ferocious ring does not affect its hits. It should also be added that damage done by the special will not give any xp.
- Can someone confirm this? Sal 17:27, April 8, 2012 (UTC)
Trivia: Soul Split?
Edit
The trivia says that the Goliath gloves are unaffected by Soul Split because SS only affects melee skills (attack, defence, strength). This does not sound anything like Soul Split, but completely fits Turmoil. Typo, or did I miss something? 98.249.218.100 03:20, May 26, 2012 (UTC)
Nevermind. The Trivia is gone now. 98.249.218.100 19:22, August 2, 2012 (UTC)
The stat draining
Edit
I used these and drained the stats of a lv40 player, but the stats were only drained by around 2 levels, which were 32/33 each. Maybe it's 7% and not 7 levels? Nothing special here. (talk) 05:26, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
More testing: 2 levels lost on skills with levels 25 to 33. Nothing special here. (talk) 00:09, September 18, 2012 (UTC)
Effect post EoC
Edit
That effect posted about goliaths post EoC is not true, it looks like someone was using momentum and mixed up that with the effect.
