[edit] Rising Gold Taxes... er... I mean prices
I've noticed that gold prices have going up ever so slowly. This is benificial to me, since I sell gold, but I don't buy it. Still, I'd like to know what's causing this increase in prices.—Ethmi (talk • contribs) forgot to sign this comment on 06:52, 28 July 2008 (UTC).
[edit] Ores locations?

[edit] Gold price increases
I think the reason for the increase of gold is because the push of the market. If you look at the mining average recenlty, and long term, all you see is increase. There are two ways of calcutlating prices 1) Volume The less amount of gold in the market, as theory states, it becomse rareer, therefore pricier. 2) Averages This one is pretty big. If the average price of ores and other things in that catagory, even if the volume is rising and the items value should go down, its average in its catagory can keep it steady, much like in stocks and thier indexes. This is my theory, looking at it econimicly. There is another reason. If Jagez releases something new that requires gold (quests, jobs ect.) the value of gold would begin to climb until the release of whatever Jagex is planning. Though whatever happend, I wish all of you luck in your gold marketing! :)
[edit] Gold ore vs. Steel Bars
so i sell everything i mine, whether i smelt it or not. is it more benefcial to me to spend the time mining iron ore and coal ore, then smelting it and selling for abt 830 gp? or should i just mine gold and sell for around 500gp?
