I disagree with that (lvl 67 thief), when thieving master farmer, i almost immediatly know when my gloves are destroyed...  Urssaff ^talk 12:03, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Repairs?

I recently reached level 64 in crafting, and a message came up saying I could now repair gloves of silence with dark kebbit fur. Does anyone know how this works ?

There is no previous message indicating a decay of your silence gloves...To know the state of your gloves, 'inspect' them. You can repair them with 1 kebbit fur, 1 neddle,.... ?  Urssaff ^talk 12:45, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Obtaining new Gloves of silence

The gloves can be bought on the Grand Exchange, or made at the Fancy Dress Shop from two Dark kebbit furs as described in the article. Warp9pnt9 12:35, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

i found out today that the gloves of silence can also double the loot, this feature is new obviously

Degradation table is currently wrong?

I get only 1 single use when the message says, "Your gloves are about to fall apart!" I have observed that when I check status and see, "Your gloves are in need of repair.", and after each subsequent failure, check each time after that until I see "Your gloves are about to fall apart!". I thought I had 5 more uses. But after one failure, they fell apart? I don't remember the table being wrong in the past. Either I did not notice it being wrong, or something has changed in the game. This warrants more observation and verification. And may end up with the table being modified if necessary. Warp9pnt9 12:30, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

i personally found that at after counting the amount of successful pickpockets with the gloves on compared to without them on at 66 thieving, that there was NO actual benefit from using these gloves.

hopefully the ardougne cloak 3 helps when people decide to get it, because the gloves are not noticeably better.
