UntitledEdit

Here's something for the trivia section. When scrubbing the pelts with salt if you use the salt on the pelt it says 'You scrub the inside of the pelt with salt' HOWEVER! If you use the pelt on the salt it says 'You scrub the inside of the pelt with salt nothing interesting happens' but the pelt is still scrubbed anyway 8wiggles fingers mysteriously*

I can't edit the page for some reason, but the ape-like one is cave horror.

I semi-protected the page for a week as it is a vandalism target. Quest Gaz Lloyd AwesomeEvents!99s 17:01, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

fur and seek wish list Edit

you forgot about the "shoulder of a giant"

Moss, fire, hill maybe??????

The sabre teeth is nail beast too, i got both nails and teeth from them. When i tried hunting kyatts i got nothing, this needs to be changed.

I can't edit the page, but killing the King Black Dragon can yield the bone for the black dragon.

Reward for second part of the quest? (Wishlist) Edit

It seems pretty difficult to do, so what reward can we expect? No one has posted the reward.

the rewards are there now. cool.

Some stuff Edit

Few spelling/grammatical mistakes I encountered:

Rellekka and shield are spelled incorrectly in the paragraph below "Walkthrough".
He needs a captial in the paragraph below "Walkthrough", following the period.
Brimhaven needs a capital in the paragraph below "Brimhaven Dungeon" subtitle.
Ranged should be changed to range in several instances. Ex: since it can be difficult to ranged the red dragons safely.
Brimhaven is spelled as "Birmhaven" in the paragraph below "Brimhaven Dungeon" subtitle.
from has an unnecessary capital in paragraph below "Brimhaven Dungeon" subtitle.

Will edit if I find more...

Ourg...Edit

Is it possible to kill the ourg statue in the bandos throne room instead of Graardor for the femur bone? Quest point cape detail Bruxacosmica Talk-HighsBlue soul wars cape 18:55, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Me, Vimes and Water have been investigating this in the CC. You can't kill:
  • Orks
  • Ogres, Mogres and Zogres (part of Rag and Bone Man wishlist)
  • Ogresses
  • Ourg (and other) statues
  • Cyclopes (they drop Giants shoulder)
  • Suspected: Skogres, goblins (not large), trolls (god allegiance unknown)
It may well have to be Graardor or his lieutenants. Quest Gaz Lloyd AwesomeEvents!99s 19:12, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
I have seen many confirmations for Bork in the Chaos Tunnels dropping the Femur, however I did not recieve it myself. 118.93.59.240 20:38, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Surely Bork shouldn't drop it? He's not a Bandos follower, he follows Zamorak Concerndout Quest Gaz Lloyd AwesomeEvents!99s 20:51, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Bork himself is actually Bandosian, like all dimwitted creatures. His employer/summoner happens to be Zamorakian. ArnoudX 21:51, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
I got my femur from Bork. --ItsMrPants 21:04, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Yup. Bork drops it. He's a BIG Ork, so it makes sense in terms of length if you ask me. Every other creatures makes no sense at all to me, and seeing the results, not to Jagex either. ArnoudX 21:51, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Indeed. Bork dropped my Femur bone. Quest point capeLil Diriz 77 Talk Summoning-icon 01:44, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
It seems only General Graador and Bork are the only appicable monsters that drop the femur bone. Though can anyone confirm that you have to kill general graador yourself or could the bone be lootshared? I duoed for mine so I cant confirm.--Da wabbit is dead... 16:27, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

I just killed 50 troll generals and didn't get a femur bone, so I don't think any trolls will drop it. --Guthix1110 22:28, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Boss fight Edit

The boss fight at the end is indeed a level 320 skeletal horror.Rowrow 19:11, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Long sharp claws? Edit

It's mentioned that its possible to get long sharp claws from wall beasts.

I've killed 30-ish now, and no drops, are you sure you can get claws from them?

Yeah..they aren't dropping. We need to clean up the list and only use the monsters that are confirmed for drops. --Grunts00 19:54, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

You need to kill Goraks for the long, sharp claws.
Got some from nail beasts, found that they're more useful, as you can also get sabre-like teeth from them.

50 Wall beasts and no drop. I got mine from a Gorak on the first kill.

Is it just the Gorak Claws that are required here? (Got three of those in first six drops.) Or are 'Long Sharp Claws' a separate item? Degsy99 17:56, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

The 'long sharp claws' are a seperate item. Gorak claws are used in a magic essence potion. --62.194.21.246 19:02, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

i got my long, sharp claws on my first drop of killing the giant mole under fally

Wild pie Edit

Im slayer level 74 and used a wild pie to kill the aquanite.

Possibly this could be added to the requirements. slayer level 78, or 73-77 using wild pies.

--Iavirissa 23:11, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

why cave but not jungle horror? Edit

The suggested route suggest us to kill cave horrors, which requires witchwood icon and light source. Isnt killing jungle horrors a bit easier? 220.246.196.35 04:01, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
I would think so but i think it should still list cave horrors as dropping the item and let the person decide which they want to do Rje946 07:31, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

I would like to confirm that jungle Horrors do drop the required bone. - Poorman30

suggested route suggestion Edit

After killing big snakes in ape atoll, one should return to gnome stronghold and kill turtles at north, bank and continue to somewhere else.

I guess monsters that are closed to fairy rings should be concentrated together, so we can spend less time returning to fairy ring. Here we go:

black dragons(lost city evil chicken lair)-> gorak (DIR) -> ugthanki(BIQ) -> kyatt (DKS) -> lalli -> turoth and aquanites

Not too sure where to put these in, anyway these can also make use of the fairy ring

blue dragons (CLS)
skeletal wyverns(AIQ)

i guess we can also add these:

moss giants should be killed while on the way to bork (use the north east portal of gargoyles)
game neckness is useful for getting to mithril dragons or green dragons in wild 220.246.196.35 04:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Do we need to boil the bones this time? Edit

Do we need to boil the bones in vinegar this time? Mamabear47 06:34, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Yes, You do. --Monstermas22 06:38, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

quest requirements for the second half Edit

I tried to do it myself but seeing as I have no idea how to edit that table without messing it up... would someone add in that you need 22 pots of vinegar and 22 logs or a hatchet to cut them? if you could that would be nice. Also, I might try and add in the part about having to clean the bones with the pots of vinegar on the fireplace there as that was the part i got stuck at.

turoth's Edit

not 100% sure but i think only the level 87 turoth drops the fibula bone, still need confirmation though.

I believe it is level 87 and up. I got mine in the desert dungeon, so I am not sure which of my kills dropped it, but I was only attacking the upper two levels of turoths. 198.175.199.48 09:12, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Yes, wishlist is adult; i wasted so much time with the little ones LOL Chrislee33 07:56, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

the "pun" in trivia section Edit

the pun should be a play on hide n' seek. not foreign. hide is an animal skin, which is close to fur, so it would make sense to say fur n' seek as a play on "hide" n' seek

24.16.124.198 20:52, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah i dont think its refering to forensic or foreign, just hide and seek.

redirects Edit

someone has done the redirects for this article very well. well done to them. (e.g. fur n seek ) Mojohaza1 11:16, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Split Edit

Split this to Fur 'n' Seek wish list, as was done with Rag and Bone Man (see talk page there for reasons). KandarinSmall.png Chicken7 >talk 11:16, March 3, 2010 (UTC)

Someone should be bold and do it. Unicorn horn dust Evil Yanks talk 06:28, March 4, 2010 (UTC)
I will when I get time. KandarinSmall.png Chicken7 >talk 06:33, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

There is no reason to keep it as one. It should be split. I have never created a new page, so I don't want to mess something up. Joeprib 05:13, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

Golden fleeceEdit

this trivia doesn't belong here, i'm going to remove it and make sure that it's in both rellekka and the fremennik trials. if anyone objects they can add it back but i don't feel it really has anything to do with this pageJustussg 02:47, August 12, 2010 (UTC)

This guide is out of date. The Odd Old Man no longer wants furs, he wants bones. Not only that, but the list of animals from which he wants the bones is not the same as the list presented in this guide. He wants the bones boiled in vinegar. This guide needs a total rewrite.

That is the first quest in the series, Not this one! Rift Cyra Talk Floweff14.png 03:13, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
