question...

Do you think that giving magic exp freely with the low alchemy spell by E. ring a bug or a glitch?? Jd0064 21:53, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Does it? I assumed that you'd get the gold from the alch, but not the exp from casting it... I haven't really tried it myself though, so I don't know. It might not be a bug though, this isn't the first time Jagex would be giving free magic exp, abeit in a limited form (Fist of Guthix's free runes). I wouldn't consider it a bug, myself.

Well because of Home teleport (Lumbridge one) is kind of limited I thought this could be a glitch but imagine how much exp is for 30 low alchemy casts without runes and every day Jd0064 21:59, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I did some testing with the ring, and you actually lose 31 exp for each free low alch you cast. So if you cast it 30 times every day, you'd be losing 930 exp each day. So yeah, it's not a free source of exp by any means.

I was just testing this ring out and you do gain exp from it. I was on world 113 alching iron ores in the drawven mines if that means anything. lurker0_0 22:32, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

In your test you lost 31 remaining magic experience. That means you actually gain experience.

I tested it 2x and i got 31 Magic XP... I have Explorer's ring (3). WillCz 08:23, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

You're right, I didn't see that it was the XP Remaining going down... >_> Sorry for the mixup. Well with that said, I still don't think a free 930 exp a day is exactly game-breaking.

So far I have gained 2-4 extra air runes per trip at lvl 79 runecrafting. The ring activated on every run of my test.

Hey big news I found that you dont need to wait for 24 hours to the ring being reset, You only need to wait for the next day.( Casting 30 times L.A. at 11:59 pm /reset/ casting another 30 at 12:01 am) Can someone put it on the mainpage? Jd0064 13:07, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Another tip... you can use this item when mining runes essence from Sedridor at Wizard Tower providing a short trip to Draynor, although the route from Varrock is faster. you can use it when runecrafting air runes, it saves half way Jd0064 14:40, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I found something interesting last night. When I was working on construction after completing the Achievement Diary, I teleported out using the ring. When I did, I noticed that the tea (which normally disappears when you leave) stayed with me. To test my theory, I went down to Karamja and bought some Karamjan rum, then teleported using the ring. Sure enough, it stayed with me. I sent a bug report, so it may be gone by now. Should this go on the article page? Elkayen 14:47, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Someone said "The run restore ability of the ring can stack from one day to another, so if you use 0 charges one day, and the next day you run a lot, you can use the ring for 6 charges for 3, even though it doesn't show up on the ring." Is this true? I think that it is most likely a bug or something.

The ability of the ring for run restore can stack from one day to another, but does the low alchemy stack as well? for example i didnt use it for 2 days, on the third day, would i get 90 alchs? (seems not possible, but i need to make sure)

Ok, i started playing at 8:50 am waste all my LA charges very soon on steel p8skirt, yay 400 coins each, well lets continue... I wasted all my R. run in a race from Lumby to Fally without tele with a friend. yeah I know waste of all things.

But the weird thing its that at 7:10 pm (mining mith at dwarven mine) I got a lag, reset the page of RS, and when I started playing again it said that my ring has recharged. so i started LA cabbages and reach lvl 51 magic =P Jd0064 00:39, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, the ring seems to recharge itself at a set time always, rather than 24 hours after you use the first charge. I would imagine it's something like 00:00 GMT or something like that, would make most sense.

It resets the ring at a certain time of day regardless of when charges used.

Nope, the other day I was off in the F2P Ice Plateau, got bored, and tried it, so, yeah, doesnt work....I was hoping itd atleast be like Glory Ammy and give you until 30...

I just tested a few times and it seems that simply running to falador's east bank to the altar is faster by at least 10-12 seconds.

Air rune crafting without cabbage teleport takes for me personally about 1:29 minutes, while if I use cabbage teleport and bank at draynor it takes around 1:39 minutes. Since it is obviously not the fastest way to runecraft air runes I will edit it. Wejer 17:09, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Should we add to the article that the ring resets at 00:00 GMT time? I'm almost certain that it does. 00:00 GMT is equal to 7:00 PM Eastern time (my time zone), and every time it passes 7:00 PM, I log off and log back in and voila. It's recharged. Even when I run out of charges at 6:50 PM. It's also interesting that I have to log out for it to recharge; it never gives me the message that it's recharged while in-game.

She is no longer a 'reward' from the ring - she'll appear to any low level farmer and remind them that they don't have to stay around to watch their plants grow. Orbie 23:21, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
