"...heals the player 4 hp every 2 seconds for up to 5 times."
Does that mean you can use the special 5 times with one bar? Tien 22:36, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think it just means that using the special once will result in multiple heals, spread over the span of several seconds. The exact number will vary, but the largest number of heals that will take place is five. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what it means. 22:40, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- I can confirm; the special is 100% drain and you're healed 4 hp 5 times, each heal is 2 seconds apart. Psycho Robot 05:48, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
- Specifically, it should be noted that the defence boost happens as soon as the special is activated (100% spec bar drain) and the healing begins 2 seconds after that for a series of rounds with a nifty animation even (I think its 5 hp per round for up to 4 rounds) ~

Downgrade Possible?
Edit
If you lose the Enhanced excalibur will the lady of the lake give you a normal Excalibur which she can then upgrade, or will she give the enhanced version only? 76.20.56.108 02:55, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- She gives you the option of choosing whichever one you want.
Note on logout during special
Edit
This is most likely not a bug or oversight. Gravestones disappear during logout and that's not a bug, so why should this be? Just because the developers decide to make a change to an existing feature that's similar to this based upon player feedback does not make either of these design features into any sort of glitch or negligence. I'd rather people focus their speculation on good ideas for suggestions to improve the game than waste any amount of thought on creating these weakly-thought-out rumors that are most likely false. -- 05:13, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Speed on page
Edit
On the page, it says the speed is undefined, and in edit the speed is set to 5 as it should be, what's up with it?
- I've fixed it. If you're curious what the problem was, you can see it here --Psycho Robot 13:29, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Scabbard?
Edit
Just wondering... Don't most of the Arthurian stories include something more major about King Arthur's scabbard? Though the effect of the Enhanced Scabbard is somewhat related; some stories saying it prevented some lethal injuries...etc, but that really isn't as awesome as incorporating a scabbard like thing not is it?
Achievement diary
Edit
New achievement diarys released, if you complete the elite seers diary the special attack heals double.
Hilt
Edit
The hilt seems to change when itupgrades from the original into enhanced. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned, even if it is quite insignificant. Although I could be wrong, my eyesight isn't as good as I'd hope it to be.
What?
Edit
In the trivia section I saw this "According to the actual legend, this sword could only be used to its full potential when wielded by Uther (King Arthur's father) and can defeat any opponent. It was also enchanted by a dragon rather than the Lady of the Lake." Can anyone confirm this with a source that isn't BBC's Merlin? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AnselaJonla (talk).
- Pretty sure that isn't true. I've removed it. Suppa chuppa T C CVRC 20:31, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
Special Attack
Edit
So, I'm pretty sure Jagex has updated the special to only uses 90% of the special attack bar, because the last several times I've used it I've had 10% of my bar remain. Edit: Nevermind, I'm being foolish, recently got a vigour I've been using. My bad.
- My friend just used it, and he said it used 100% of the bar Haidro (talk) 04:13, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
Passive
Edit
"Each time you hit your target while using the (Elite) Enhanced Excalibur in your off-hand, this is strictly a passive combat effect. It is still unknown whether abilities affect the chance to heal, or simply striking is enough."
With the little testing I've done (with the dummies), the passive only seems to occurs on auto-attacks in which Excalibur strikes. Unlike the SGS, abilities won't activate the passive, even the dual-wield ones, which I assume is because of its position as an offhand. Nothing special here. (talk) 23:15, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
EoC update
Edit
wow, the eoc update really broke this. only 25% chance to heal 2% of my max hp. i recenetly got elite cause i wanted this so badly. now that i see how it works in eoc. it kinda sucks. with my standard melee armour. 6830 hp. 2% of that is 136.6. i only have a 25% chance to heal that? yeah forget that. ill just go with my dfs and unicorn stallion. with a shield and that familar, i can heal very fast and efficent. with the defence abilites (resonance, reflect and rejuvenate. if needed immortailty and barricade)

Actually, the Enhanced Excalibur is the 2nd best off-hand weapon. It's even better than ANY off-hand chaotic weapon. The only thing that's better than it is the drygore off-hands.

- If that is true, I hope wikia's stats are out of date... Comparing the Enhanced excalibur's 428 Damage and 1868 Accuracy, with an Off-hand chaotic rapier's 490 resp. 3043, the chaotics win. 83.101.44.209 05:20, April 14, 2013 (UTC)
Regarding EE's mistaken stats
Edit
Some people might not understand the mistake in EE's stats, or perhaps not even believe it, so I thought I'd post this to hopefully clear that up.
Short answer: Compare EE's damage stat to the off-hand drygore mace, both of which are the same speed. EE has 428 Damage, the mace has 432 – they have near-identical damage, even though drygores are tier 90 and EE should be tier 70.
Medium answer: All off-hands with the same speed as the main-hand should have exactly half the main-hand's damage. Look at the dragon daggers (576, 288), chaotic rapiers (980, 490), drygore longswords (1102, 551), anything really. EE has the same speed as the abyssal whip, yet the whip has 672 Damage and EE has 428. That's not half the damage; that would be 336.
Complicated answer: The damage of a main-hand at Fastest speed is (tier * 9.6) – for example, 70 * 9.6 makes the whip's stat of 672. The damage of a main-hand at Fast speed is (tier * 12.25). 70 * 12.25 is 857.5, and half of that (for an off-hand) is 428.75. Round that to 428 and you get EE's current Damage stat. This isn't a mistake of damage; it's the speed. If EE were changed to Fast speed, it would have the correct DPS for a tier 70 off-hand.
BTW, I have gone to training dummies with EE (supposed to be tier 70) and an off-hand chaotic rapier (tier 80), and I do get higher ability criticals with EE. Anyway, thanks for reading. Logialian (talk) 08:48, May 21, 2013 (UTC)
