I just bought a Dwarf Cannon from the Grand Exchange in a set. I completed the quest. How do you set it up? If you know, put it below in the space. I need help. Thanks.

It may be, but I doubt it is. Another possibility is that you may use it in early wildy, but not deep. But it would make PK'ing way too easy and I doubt you can.
Cannons CAN be used in the wilderness, they will just not fire at players.
You should really change the 400 charges thing. I just had around 3.5k runs until the decay warning came up.
Yes, the 400 comes from the Runescape guide, but the number of shots before the warning seems to be inconsistent.

how do you open up the cannon if its just a dwarf cannon set it says you can use it and drop it but how do u open it to get the pieces? To open all sets, right click on a person in the grand exchange and setlect "sets." You will get an interface showing a bunch of different armour. From there, click the "exchange" option on the cannon set.Mjc3 18:21, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Must you do the quest to use the cannon? I was under the impression that you only needed the quest to buy it from the npc. What if u buy from a fellow player?

Does the cannon's damage depend at all on range level?
Yes, you do not need a certain level to use it but, it will hit high numbers more often if you are a high level.71.122.245.55 22:11, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
The Grand Exchange price is currently 530k. to set up a cannon put down the cannon base then but down the cannon legs, then the barrels, then the furnace

I was wondering whether if you log out with the cannon set up, does it go to Nulodian? Or is it lost? (I'm assuming it doesn't automatically appear again when you log in)

Anyone know where the best place to use this cannon and still make money if you but the cannonballs would really like to know as i need to lvl my range and am quite poor so would like to make money not lose
- The best place to use the cannon depends on what monster you want to use it on. Lots of different monsters have decent cannon spots. --nekobawt 23:04, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Can this be used safely in the God Wars dungeon, say on the bodyguards for each general? I know it says the actual generals will destroy it, but you could still make a nice profit off the bodyguards. Anyone tried this? 24.129.79.94 03:05, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

You should try training on anything that drops good stuff i use my cannon on slayer and on barrows i make a lot of money this way and yes buy a cannon
One thing that seems to affect the effectiveness of a cannon is the effectiveness of the weapon you are weilding. I used a cannon while weilding a bronze axe and it hardly hit more than about 3. I wielded a whip and it went back to normal. O3 Depleter 13:59, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

It is possible to set up the Dwarf Multi-Cannon in the Wizard's Tower. If you want I can provide a screenie or animated gif for use/proof.

I think you can own as many as you like, but you can only setup one at a time. Given that most times you loose it you can get it back for free, I don't see that there is any point in owning more than one. O3 Depleter 14:01, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

I think cannon decay is on a timer, and not based on number of shots, because i got the warning message when it wasn't firing. Maybe there is a minimum number of shots for it to decay, or to start the timer or something. --98.238.208.25 15:46, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes, it is a timer. You get the warning message after 20mins and then it decays 5 mins after that. When you get the warning message, if you pick up then cannon then re-assemble it the timer resets. You have a point,it depends on the state of your cannon. for me it decays after like 4k cannonballs. If by chance it does decay you can get it back from a guy whos name beggins with n

Does anyone remember what announced update it came with though? (Might actually have been late July, I can't remember.)
- I read through every update post in August 2008, and I didn't find it. I'll look through all of 2008, however it will not be found in the Patch Notes archive, since those only started being archived in January 2009. Psycho Robot Talk

Hey,
I bought a cannon and used it. Thought I might take it to slayer tower and searched the page for cannon. It had no reference, so I took it. This was annoying to find I couldn't use it. Shouldn't it be displayed on the page in which it cant be used?
