Orb of Oculus
Edit
I removed the part of the oxin maze mentioning the Orb of Oculus seein as you CAN'T TAKE IT INTO DAEMONHEIM making it impossible to use it.

- You can bring orbs of oculus into Daemonheim:
| “ | No items, aside from the ring of kinship and the orb of oculus, are allowed inside Daemonheim... | ” |

Oh. The dungeoneering tutor said no items can go inside, so I assumed you couldn't take the Orb of Oculus

Table?
Edit
Would a table look more organized and easier to see? The table should be something like this:
| Puzzle | Description | Solution | Members only? | Dungeon floor/level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| None | An ordinary room protected by creatures. | Kill the monsters or run past them. | No | 1 |
I thought I should discuss it first because I'm not sure what others think. Screenshots might be inserted somewhere... --Scykei 01:16, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
I agree. Something like that would look far more organized. It will also make adding pictures much easier. Perhaps you could add the pictures column in between the Puzzle and Description ones kind of like this:
| Puzzle | Picture | Description | Solution | Members only? | Dungeon floor/level |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| None | >insert picture of the puzzle here< | An ordinary room protected by creatures. | Kill the monsters or run past them. | No | 1 |
Essentially, it's kind of like what you have just with a pictures column. I guess you could go ahead and do it if you want. Krayfish 02:34, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Table is great idea, BUT really not working here do to there being so much text. :-( Mamabear47 20:04, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
looks horrible on small screens
Edit
Very, very, bad layout. --Agamemnus 20:07, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
I changed the layout. Unfortunately I had to undo some edits over the last few minutes as it took a really long time.--Agamemnus 20:38, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
members agility area
Edit
im not a member so how did get get the agility maze puzzle in my dungeon?
a good question. has anyone else seen this? Qazwiz 21:09, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
I think its a disadvantage to being f2p, you cant finish every room in the dungeon.
although they cant finish every room, they should still be able to complete the dungeon
SPOILERS IN OPEN VIEW
Edit
this could be such a good resource but as it currently is set, this is just a walkthrough
it should give the player the option to chose what hints and walkthroughs he sees
this can be done via the C template (c stands for censor but is a roll over revealing blind as shown here)
text prior to a sample hidden text text after
Qazwiz 21:17, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
- But why would we really need this? 21:17, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE WANT HINT WHEN THEY GET STUCK NOT entire answer on a plate the puzzles are there to test the mind
the absents of spoilers (as I call them) to hide the spoiling text makes it hard to get a hint without spoiling the whole puzzle the mining puzzle for instance might not come to mind to mine from the wall a hint about checking the walls for hot spots would be desirable before they find out what weapon they need to craft
ALSO, we appear to be proud of the semi- recognition that Jagex has given us.... Silver Site.... while Jagex does not allow any spoiling text on their site, if we give extra care to trying to protect the "secrets" I would speculate we might get a better rating, or prevent from losing the current rating if they reevaluate site content
I might try investing the extra time to help recode appropriate pages but only if the rest of the community is going to follow this direction.... as it is, I don't come here unless I want the walkthrough since that is all this place offere at the present time Qazwiz 21:36, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
- But that's what a guide site like this is for. If all we did was mirror RuneScape.com, there would really be no point in coming here. If you just want hints, use QuestHelp. That's what it's for. Anyway, if you want to discuss this any more, I would reccomend moving it to the Yew Grove. 00:52, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
monoloth
Edit
The tip for soloing monoloth isnt correct for members to use zeph arrows, I think magic on shade should be better since runes are cheaper than Zeph arrows.--

flip tiles
Edit
why was the possible solutions under the flip tiles deleted? it wasn't clutter, it was actually useful; i found myself coming here quite a bit for that puzzle alone. now someone edits it and says it's easiest to lose some hp. someone add that back please? i'm sure many other people find it useful as well.
thanks :D

Lodestone puzzle
Edit
Is anybody else frustrated with the very poorly designed lodestone power puzzle? Once you understand the basics, you'll see that the "puzzle" is nothing more than clicking 5 spaces and hoping that you do not stumble in any of the jumps. The problem is that it is completely based on luck. If you're lucky, you'll go through effortlessly. More often than not, you'll fail numerous times, potentially costing several gatestones or thousands of damage. Jagex should just trash it altogether. 220.255.7.168 14:06, June 12, 2010 (UTC)
4 tiled dungeon
Edit
submitted a video on youtube, not sure what to call this dungeon, I don't think I've seen it under your walkthrough so just add it on your own.

Split
Edit
I'm not really familiar with the way a wiki works but I propose that every puzzle should have it's own article. It's probably the same reason why every boss has an article.
Then we can put more detailed information into it without the nasty tables. Does anyone agree?
Is there a section like vote for deletion where we con vote whether articles should be split? Because if there is, can someone move this to the appropriate section? Thanks. --Scykei 12:26, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- It appears that I can't start a discussion about this easily. So I have already started doing one article. If no one disagrees, I'll go ahead an do the rest. :\ --Scykei 02:51, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
This page definitely needs to be turned into a category page or something that provides links to separate pages providing information about each puzzle. This seems unorganized and extremely crammed, not very wikia like imo. Samba37 22:59, November 3, 2010 (UTC)
Scykei -- RS:RFS is what you're looking for. Michagogo 07:14, November 4, 2010 (UTC)
I agree, I'll make the monolith (and possibly some other later) articles. --Volons 22:35, September 25, 2012 (UTC)
grapple tightrope room
Edit
as a current non-member i have encountered and completed the grapple tightrope room, however i am a former member and my levels from that may have been enough to allow me to do so (although I am unsure whether this is possible), since I was soloing it could not have been due to another party member.
Engelmas
- Well, if you read correctly, all puzzles and doors can be encountered regardless of your membership status or current skill level. You just won't be able to get past them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Scykei (talk).
- Please sign your comments on Talk pages.
- I think that Engelmas's point was that he was on a free server (obvious from the fact that he is currently a non-member) and that he was able to complete the Grapple puzzle - which implies that it does not require members' skills, as, in general, even if you have the requisite level as a former member, members' skills can't be utilized on free servers. Broken Bridge - sure that it requires Construction?
Edit
I encountered the Broken Bridge on a free server. As described in the article ["The first way is to take repairing stone, crafting it and placing it on the bridge gap.(Requires construction)"], I mined the stone, used a chisel on it, and used it on the gap to repair the bridge. I didn't get the "You can't do that here" message that you get when you try to do members' puzzles on a free server (e.g., talk to the Enigmatic hoardstalker), the bridge was repaired, and I was able to cross over. Well, I did experience a graphical glitch, in that the middle section of the bridge turned invisible, a rectangular region larger than the former jagged gap, but I was able to cross it with no problem. This implies to me that Construction was not required. Could of course have been a glitch (this was on the first day or two of the new puzzles) allowing me to use a members' skill on a free server, but just a note for people to watch out for - if Construction is not required, this should be moved to the Non-member puzzles. Or perhaps it requires Construction if you get the nail & plank version (which I have not yet seen)? And it sounds like it definitely requires members' skills (Agility) if the resources are on the other side of the gap. It is possible that this is in a new category of "Sometimes members, sometimes non-members" puzzles. JalYt-Mej-Wynde 14:02, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
Poltergeist - free?
Edit
The article currently states that the Poltergeist has been encountered on a free world and completed. This may only be by a present (or former) member playing on a free world, as I received a message of "You must have a Herblore level of 92" when I tried to pick the correct herb (on a free world). Note that most members' puzzles etc. on a free server simply give a message of "You can't do that here" or some variation, so maybe if my Herb level had been higher I could have done succeeded.... If so, this may be a mistake, since it doesn't fit the pattern of the other tasks that require members' skills, but it's hard to tell. Anyone besides the original author encounter this one on a free world and solve it? If so, did you receive Herb experience when you picked the herb? JalYt-Mej-Wynde 18:55, September 3, 2010 (UTC)
Icy pressure pad puzzle glitch
Edit
I don't know why but... I just encountered this puzzle with 4 doors. I entered it from south and after completing puzzle I noticed that west and east doors can't be entered if you don't collide with them as the tiles by them behave like ice. Tiles by north and south doors doesn't behave like ice, just these by east and west doors. It's a bug or what? LoL 08:41, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
Grapple Tightrope puzzle
Edit
In my first Dungeon after the third batch update, I encountered the Grapple Tightrope puzzle on a free-to-play world, and completed it (it was even on the critical path)! I'm pretty sure it's now a f2p puzzle, since it requires no members skills, but this may have just been a bug from the new update, so I would like someone to confirm it after a day or two.
| Ablm578Talk 17:38, November 2, 2010 (UTC)
- I've encountered this puzzle on numerous occasions where I couldn't walk across the tightrope because I didn't have the agility level to do so. This may have been a bug, so I don't know. Try to get more confirmation on it or see if it happens again.
Lil cloud 9 Talk 02:49, November 12, 2010 (UTC)
- I've figured it out, I added the "winch tightrope" to F2P.

human camp
Edit
earlier this day i was in a room where at first there was no enemy at all. upon entering a human melee fighter appeared. while fighting him he was accomplished by like 7 other human fighters (melee, ranger and mages)
defeating them was like impossible and i think finally someone got through with this silk hood
the fighters all appeared with the gatestone teleport
anybody else who knows something about this room?
-- 23:43, November 7, 2010 (UTC)This is the mercenary leader npc ... and I also found it very deadly at 203 level. You have to concentrate on defeating only the leader and avoid the attackers you are weak to by the combat triangle (those the leader calls in cycle leaving from and returning to the room). Suspicious grooves update
Edit
I know originally the grooves were a luck puzzle. Whether it was the last dungeon update or before I don't know, but now you can search the grooves and get across without damage in every case I believe. I updated the section to include this possibility.
Unknowns:
Does the investigation require a skill? Which one? Thieving?
Can the investigation give damage? (So far, I've not been.) Mithyr Sar 02:57, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
Hunter ferret
Edit
If anybody is able to confirm that the hunter ferret puzzle is or isn't able to be completed on a free world by an ex-member, that would be great.
Lil cloud 9 Talk 03:33, February 16, 2011 (UTC)
If an ex-member has the required hunter level to catch a ferret, the puzzle may be completed in a F2P world. N.B. You will not be able to use traps. This will make the puzzle harder for an ex-member.Pulse daemon 11:06, March 27, 2011 (UTC)

Tile Flip Puzzle
Edit
I'm sure many people would much like to practise this in a way that doesn't take 5 seconds per flip. Would I be allowed to put a link to an uploaded windows application version of this game? It's basically the same thing, but no delay, simple graphics, and a few helpful options. In case you're wondering, yes, I made it, so no issues there.

Hunter Ferret Solution
Edit
I find it is most effective to lay traps in the spots that the ferret rests when it is not being chased, rather than placing traps in the corners. There's 3 different spots I use that catch the ferret much faster than using corners. I would love if someone with more "prestige" in editing pages would test my method before editing the page as I would not want to disrupt the pages flow. New to editing and all, first time really.
