Potential Formula ChangesEdit

This may be a bug, or JAGEX may have changed the actual methods of calculation, but according to the tables, a medium melee potion should boost 81 attack and strength to 97 (81 + 5 + 81*0.14). However, when I last used one it actually boosted to 91 instead. 86.160.199.181 17:23, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

I found this to be true for me as well. It may very well be a change in the formula. I have had to use the medium melee and ranged pots when the calculator showed that the weak version was more than sufficient for the door/puzzle that required me to boost. =/ 68.7.127.106 05:46, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

UntitledEdit

Does anybody else find it odd that the defence potion is very inferior to the melee potion, yet it requires higher herblore? Nagai yume 02:41, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Jagex is still very much in denial about how little good defence does as a skill. kitty.pngPsycho Robot talkSilver bar 02:51, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Overview table Edit

I removed the overview table because it was ugly and I saw no reason for it. Feel free to put it back with appropriate styling if you see fit. Hunter hood zZSamboZz Talk Hunter cape 14:48, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

You shouldn't have deleted it in the first place. If you don't like something, post your thoughts on the talk page (like you did here) without removing it for no reason.  Tien  14:51, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
I assumed that, given the appearance and lack of reasoning for the table being there, there would be nothing to discuss. Could you explain what exactly the use of the table is and why it is needed? Hunter hood zZSamboZz Talk Hunter cape 14:59, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
The table very succinctly describes which herb and ingredient combinations make which potion. Personally I find it much more convenient to look up than going through the tables in the weak/regular/strong potion sections; I use it every time I do a dungeon (and will continue to do so until I start to remember it). I agree the colours look a bit strange... I'll try to change them to something milder. Also I feel this table makes the "Potions by type" section superfluous. Stewbasic 00:11, July 20, 2010 (UTC)
I believe it was me who created the overview table, though it was a while ago and I'm not sure if I was logged in at the time. I apologize for the poor quality of the table graphics as I don't know how to improve them, but I've often found that the table is useful as a quick reference guide. The table can be improved to look more like the others on this page, and I'm sure that would satisfy everyone on the matter. Ergori 03:51, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
Is the format I changed it to OK with everyone? Also may I remove the "Potions by type" section? The goal I had in mind when I added it (presenting the various herb and secondary combinations succinctly) is better achieved by the overview table. Stewbasic 14:05, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

js calculator doesnt work, but wiki wants to be hard-headed Edit

on dungeoneering/herblore a few different people worked on a chart for the boost effects

as this is my main site for referencing in-game stats the chart this was a handy reference, its why i started the chart

then a js calculator was put on the page and the other page taken down

however the js calculator rarely works

and my java works fine on both my comps but the calc doesnt

i left a note on the page to at least leave the boost page up but it was silently removed

i dont want to be seen as a vandal by leaving notes, and i dont know how to fix the js thingy

and now the page is useless for finding out a common reference answer

cant we have the calculator AND the dungeoneering/herblore/boost page?

how can we fix this?

thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Puzzwillow (talk) on 17:41, August 19, 2010 (UTC).

Could you be more specific about the calculator rarely working? How does it behave? Does it produce an error? Stewbasic 00:38, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
The calculator showed up upon my first load of the page, but when I went back, it was not there. There was no error message, just no calculator at all... not even space where a calculator could have been. Hope it could get sorted at some stage. ThanksFezzy wezzy 03:42, November 13, 2011 (UTC)
It's not appearing for me in Firefox, but it is in Chrome. --Big Bouffant 03:35, November 17, 2011 (UTC)

IMPORTANT: GRAPHIC SWAP Edit

Some graphics have been swapped, specifically winter's grip and lycopus. Not sure if there are any others, but there's that to start. Godel 07:35, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Tried to swap graphics of winter's grip and lycopus. I realised there's multiple of some herbs, for example GrimyWinter'sGrip and Grimy_Winter's_Grip, also I think overall my swap didn't work at all :( Godel 21:14, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Is there an organized dungeneering clan? Edit

I tried the dungeneering world just now and it was a mess it was nothing but 1000 unorganized idioits spamming for everyone to join their team all working against each other making it impossible to find anyone. None of one even has enough common sense to use the automatic team matcher. Please tell me theres a clan chat made for people who actually know what their doing and are not 13 year old idioits who think spamming the same thing 10 times a second just like everyone else will make more people join them.pyrolord 07:44, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

Naturalist Potion Edit

I could have sworn the Naturalist potion also boosts Summoning levels. Should I fix this myself, or will that be "vandalism" ??? 65.37.105.102 18:45, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

Actually that's the Rejuvination potion Ring of kinship Ciphrius Kane Dungeoneering cape (t) 19:51, October 20, 2011 (UTC)

Quick Lookup ToolEdit

It would be really useful to create a quick tool where you input: the skill you need to boost, the highest level in your group and the level you need to boost to. The tool would then tell you:

The potion(s) you could make What the ingredients are.

Having all the info in one place would be a lot quicker than looking up what potion you need, which is down the bottom of the page, going back to the top to input what type of potion it is, then going back to the bottom again to look up ingredients. Which can take a little too long when you're in a dungeon.

Combat boost does not aid wield Edit

I've found that the combat boosts (magic, melee, range) do not allow one to wield higher level weapons even though the boost takes one above the required level to wield. 76.179.52.57 16:31, January 28, 2013 (UTC)C. Baker 1/28/2013
