I thought that Malak was the real guardian of the diamond (the only one not fought during the quest) and he was just not very loyal about it, willing to trade it for the assassination of one of his rivals. I'm not sure about this though. — Ali Irontoad (Talk) (Contributions)

Okay, have you people actually done the quest? The "bats" are actually a combination of magic and ranged; 5 damage from each style. How do I know? Protection from magic or protection from ranged blocks one of the two "splats".Shinray1kuo 05:02, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
