Edit
Defence isn't nescessarily a melee skill. It's a skill to help you defend against all forms of attack, and isn't (or shouldn't be) related to melee at all. So, I suggest removing the sentence"it's the least common melee cape of achievement" from the article. 88.159.216.101 13:42, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- You have a point there. I see capes in pairs (as they affect combat that way). Attack-strength, Defence-hitpoints, Mage-Range, Prayer-Summoning. And out of those, I would only say Attack-strength are melee, even though defence and hitpoints are almost always trained through melee. HaloTalk 13:47, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
- In fact, even the Combat Formula uses this system. Defence and HP gain combat levels at the same rate, and so do Prayer and Summoning. Attack-strength OR Ranged OR magic make up your added combat level. This explains why defence isn't a melee skill IN ANY WAY 88.159.216.101 14:11, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
Spiked boss
Edit
On the small hand shield they're actually two spiked bosses, normally on the center of rounded shields to deflect blows with a punching motion, the spikes on this one make it more of an offensive shield as blows wouldn't deflect too well with two of them. If you watch the emote you can see when he raises the large shield to block the first rock he braces it with the other hand, here you can see that they are two distinctive spiked bulges rather than a shield with two arrows stuck in it. 124.191.165.101 04:47, August 31, 2010 (UTC)
