Has anyone figured out what the teaser is

These are NOT part of Cryptic Clue Fest 2012, these are just for fun! Cryptic Clue Fest 2012 starts on 1st June!

'Just for fun' Clue One! Gordon Bennett! I've only gone and jumped the Granite maul ended up brown bread and washed up in Deadly Thrill. No matter, I'll head to the bumblebee to stock up on grub and a few holy notions. Killing the Mayor is my favourite skill, mighty feasts assigned to me this time - good grief!

'Just for fun' Clue Two!

What's in the first image that isn't in the second image? [1][2]

THE ANSWER IS 'BLUE CAPE' (FROM SOUL WARS) BECAUSE THE SECOND IMAGE HAS A DIFFERENT KIND OF BLUE CAPE FROM THE FIRST, AS YOU CAN SEE WITH THE PART THAT GOES AROUND THE NECK. IT WAS A TRICK QUESTION. ;)

'Just for fun' Clue Three Contact! - Mourning's End Part I = Answer 1

(The Temple of Senntisten - Answer 2) + One Small Favour = My Arm's Big Adventure

((A Fairy Tale Part II x Lost City) + Fairy Tale III: Battle at Orks Rift) / A Fairy Tale Part I = Answer 3

Kennith's Concerns / Goblin Diplomacy = Answer 4

(Digsite Quest + Eadgar's Ruse) - Temple of Ikov = Answer 5

(Answer 2 - Answer 1) + Answer 3 - (Answer 5 / Answer 4) = Teaser

Clue 1.

toblerone is alone... brown bread is dead.. pigs ear is beer....cain and able is table.... prance is dance ... dancing feet is pete (party pete in falador)

so....in cockney slang

Lor' luv a duck! I’m on me OWN to find me way to edgeville to hop across the stone wall. Before I go I’ll buy me a nice blue cape from richard. Hope I don’t end up dead.

Gawdon Bennet! I was standin' in the BARBER, in me favaaahrite TOWN of FALADOR. I fancied DANCE, so I decided ter visi’PETE and he gave me a pink afro.

Lawd above, while on me travels I ended up in port sarim where I find a great PUB where you can find a free BEER on the TABLE! Nuff said! --malus canis-- 20:37, June 1, 2012 (UTC) (to make it clear you need : BEER, BLUE TEAM CAPE, PINK AFRO)

The next contact clue is:

Comestibles sold upon the shelves, a slammer and jetty nearby. Talk to the owner and don't be a moaner, and the items he will surely supply.

This is most likely Wydin from the Food Shop in Port Sarim. Slammer refers to the jail to the South and jetty is the dock to the East of the shop.

href="/wiki/User:Anamona" title="User:Anamona">Anamona</a> 15:24, June 1, 2012 (UTC)I talked to Wydin and he is the correct person to turn everything in to, but he is not accepting the items listed as the solution.

Clue 2.Edit

WHEN YOU ARE DONE TAKE THESE ITEMS TO WYDIN IN PORT SARIM. Item 1

============ On the bush nearby the item, traces of an avian species was found as the items brushed past the bush

Whilst rummaging on the ground nearby, I caught a splinter in my hand which was curious - I was about 6 feet away from the nearest tree

The items had definitely seen some use and been weathered, a bluish rust was found at the scene of the hiding -- This is refering to mithril arrows... The rust being from mith and the splinter from the arrow shaft.

============

Item 2

'Hidden' out by the Saradomin statue east of Varrock, the item was laid but when removed, a small damp patch lay where it sat

When the culprit removed the item, there was a struggle as if part of the item had solidified while trying to remove it

Part of the item that got left behind was a solid substance, it had turned a colour crossed between brown and orange -- this clue was a bit misleading, but in the end I worked out it was soft clay which had hardend and dried to the floor --

============Edit

Item 3

Down in the Rimmington onion field the item was found, when removed again expensive gemstone dust was found

Whilst investigating the field, I found an onion uprooted with what looked like a stab wound

The crafty devil had covered his tracks with this item, I can't find anything other than the dust and the uprooted onion -- CHISEL, this refers to a chisel which you use on gems and can sometimes cause you to crush them by mistake ... also im pretty sure you could stab a onion in life with a chisel and it will leave a stab wound.....

To make it clear YOU NEED: MITHRIL ARROW, SOFT CLAY and CHISEL.

============Edit

That is because the Day 2 Cryptic Clue has yet to be released to the public.

clue 3.Edit

yuxYm.png

this is the image map ... the 4 black dots are the clues ... you need leather gloves (handy) onion (tearful) earth rune (muddy) and spade (dig) ---MALUS CANIS---

ascending sol Edit

Ascending Sol NPC clue must be the owner/bartender of the Rising Sun.

I believe that you must only have one of each required item to be able to hand it in to the contact. I can't confirm this, but it's what I've heard and is likely the source of some people's problems.

You may want to add this to Trivia.

"GPO stands for "General Post Office", the state postal system of the U.K."

Since when was UK a state?

also i thought the "state" postal system was Royal Mail....

The items for day 4 Edit

The items for day 4 clue are a cabbage, meat pizza and 10 body runes. i took all the items in the post to the silk trader and he took those ones.

Could u pelase mention HOW u solved the clue, that's also interesting.

Well, now that we have answers for day 4, can anyone offer a solution to the answers? 202.156.9.238 17:14, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

Day 2 GlitchedEdit

Wydin is bugged when you have completed the pirates treasure quest. He just asks if you've tidied up back, even when you bring the basket and one of each item.

final items day five Edit

Day 5Edit

while it looks like we may be stuck on last clue we can deduce that the six letter word is a food you need to cook

the uncooked vesion will be six letters long the item to take will be the cooked version, lettering unknown

Qaz Wiz 14:52, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

No the first 1 you need a cake (off spring, 3 letters egg. milled 5 letters flour, drink 4 letters milk)

I know the rest but dont have time! hard leather body and ashes (you can work out how they came to be)

--MALUS CANIS--

Solving Process Edit

I know I'm sounding like a maths teacher right now, but in the answers, shouldn't we include how those answers were obtained from the clues? I know most of them myself, some I'm unsure of, and a few I don't know.

I fully agree. It was done for the previous fest, I don't know why it wasn't here. I think you should do it if you know the answers, because I failed to solve some of the clues. 18px-Avatar.png Fswe1 Lore project Fun gallery

I can fill in the parts that I know, but as you can see in the collapsed table above, I haven't figured out everything, and half of what I know is guesswork. But I guess I can fill it in and then if anyone disagrees they can change it. Promissory note XPTHARKONStats Overall icon highscores 18:03, June 11, 2012 (UTC)

Trivia: the objects NPCs give youEdit

EssJay hands you a "Jubilee basket".

The Permit Officer in the Falador estate agent's house gives you: Mr. Ben's copy of the 'Licence to Conduct a Public Celebration' permit.

Your character notices that the "Licence" is a pile of papers, to which your character asks the Permit Officer, "All those papers for a single permit?". To which the Permit Officer replies, "No, no! There was the Application Permit, the Permit Licence Application, the Declaration of Permit Validity, the GPO-1137-33/A Form and-", at which point your character interrupts the Permit Officer and says, "Okay, Okay, I get the idea! Lots of paperwork had to be submitted." The Permit Officer then says, "In triplicate. Wait, don't go! I have so much more to tell you."

Wydin in the Port Sarim food store gives you "some food supplies".

Emily, the barmaid in the Falador Rising Sun Tavern, gives you "some drinks".

The silk trader in Al-Kharid gives you "some bunting". Bunting is a lightweight cloth material often used for flags and festive decorations.

Hetty, the witch in Rimmington, gives you "some rather explosive-looking potions".

Inconsistency in the end cut-scene of the Diamond Jubilee (Cryptic Clue Fest IV)Edit

Trivia:

Before Cryptic Clue Fest IV, you travel to Varrock and meet Minnie Coop, Will Shakenspear, Essjay, Big Ben, Thok (diplomat of the Fremmenik), Wartface+Bentnose (representing Goblins), Armicus (diplomat of Keldagrim), and Sir Amik Varze (diplomat of Falador).

vs.

In the cutscene where Queen Elizabeth II 'arrives' in Varrock, greeting QEII are Minnie Coop, Will Shakenspear, Essjay, Big Ben (all four of those are expected since you met them before the Cryptic Clue Fest). Then lined up in front of Varrock Castle are the Raptor, Ozan, Linza, Ariane, Xenia, Owen, Armicus (present before Cryptic Clue Fest IV), yourself, a diplomat of Al-Kharid, and Wartface+Bentnose (present before Cryptic Clue Fest IV).

Thok and Sir Amik Varze disappear before QEII arrives? And the diplomat from Al-Kharid takes their place?

99.231.151.50 00:20, June 11, 2012 (UTC)

The queen's name is actually Ellamaria. She plays a role in Garden of Tranquility and Defender of Varrock. Promissory note XPTHARKONStats Overall icon highscores 18:01, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
