Whats the plural of Cyclops? -- Couchpotato99 21:51, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Cyclopes. Hyenastetalk 21:53, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
False, I talked to the lady at the top of the Warrior's Guild and she said Cyclops. Oddlyoko 22:01, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
I hate her. Me and Wikipedia are right. :P Hyenastetalk 22:04, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Hey, if we make everything British spellings just cause it's a British game, we can't leave out that RuneScape calls more than one Cyclops... Cyclops. ;-) Oddlyoko 22:09, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
JagEx has proven itself to be a source that is not always reliable. What about the case of the Keldagrim dwarf referring to coins as GP? -- Couchpotato99 22:18, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
You should have seen the crisis that occured on Wikipedia about staffs vs/ staves. Hyenastetalk 22:19, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Hahaha! Well, "gp" is a term that's been used for a long time. It's like saying you have 90 pennies, except calling them cents instead. Kinda. Jagex simply incorporated the player term into the game (good idea). Oddlyoko 22:22, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

i think that this should lead to treasure trails :) drrake

[edit] The Mechanics Behind The Clue Scroll

The clue scroll isn't just 1 item with a randomly chosen clue/map/slider puzzle, every single clue you get is it's own item, therefore when a monster drops a clue scroll the little technical java dwarves hiding inside the game spin a giant wheel of all the clue scrolls to decide which clue scroll you get. 1/12th of the 8000+ items in the cache of Runescape are Clue Scrolls. Total Rune20:33, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tradable?

It doesn't say on the page if a Clue scroll is tradeable. Is it? And if so, say on the page. Just correct me if I'm being blind. :) Psylark 17:07, 29 November 2007 (GMT)

I'm afraid they're untradeable. :[

[edit] More than one?

Am I reading this right? This article makes it sound like you can get multiple clue scrolls as long as they are different levels (like I could get a level 1 clue scroll and a level 3). I am about 90% certain this is false, but would like some confirmation before deleting it Image:chivalry.PNGAquilaeImage:chivalry.PNG 01:38, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Possible corrections

Kingdom clues, are they level 1? I got one today, and loads this month, got black stuff at best.

All clues are identical, the levels are only really definable by someone else doing a few from that monster till there is a one-level-reward. No mark, and therefore only one clue at a time. I've heard this even goes to not being able to pick one up, even though it would not normally be dropped (drop a clue from your inv while killing something that will drop it, then try to pick up both).

Mechanics don't sound right.tobylaneTalk 17:25, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

  • not a member* the article says that the lowest lvl to drop the lvl 2 clues r regular guards, acording to the fortress guard article, (fortress guard is a guard outside black knights fortress) whom are lvl 20 combat, drop lvl 2 clue scrolls

[edit] Multiple clue scrolls

It IS possible to get another clue scroll as a drop when you have one in your inventory. I have a snapshot on my userpage as proof. Hi.Tienjt0 TalkI like big grapes. 00:29, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Pickin' it up is another matter, though. ;) Sir Revan125 00:32, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
True, that. >.<Hi.Tienjt0 TalkI like big grapes. 00:47, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

I have a shot of two clues to but You can ONLY have one in your invent, got lucky since I couldn't do one but the other one I could do =) Image:Dragon_scimitar.png Fofo Image:Strength.gif 21:26, 11 December 2008 (UTC) Perhaps a picture should be added?

Has anyone tried waiting till they get a casket from clue, then go kill npc's that drop clues? possibly get another clue and be ABLE to pick it up? =p

[edit] Dragon drops from cockroach soldiers?

Just noting that this page also mentions the contested dragon drops of cockroach soldiers. Has anyone at least actually gotten a clue scroll from them? 58.106.65.42 11:08, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

My girlfriend got a clue scroll from them yesterday. How can I be sure?... I was sitting next to her at the time. -- Mercifull Image:Uk serv.PNG (Talk) 11:19, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
awesome, thanks! (have logged in now, whoops) Dgtns 11:22, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Time Taken = Better Reward?

It seems to me that the longer you take to do a clue, the better the reward. FOr example, when I had to do biohazard for a clue, I got a sara cloak. When my friend took ages to do one, he got ranger boots. Every clue that I have done in less than 30 minutes of getting, I have gotten nothing of value, I intend to test this hypothosis.--Armadyl Helm‎Long Live ArmadylArmadyl Helm‎ 16:56, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Interesting... though it would make more sense if the reward was better when the clue was done faster... =p

Well...I was wrong I think. I held on to a level 1 for about a week and then did it...and I got the normal stuff you get from level 1's...--Armadyl Helm‎Long Live ArmadylArmadyl Helm‎ 21:28, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Not true coz i did lvl 1 scroll in about 10 mins and got wizard skirt (g) =) --Spookman123321 09:07, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Best Rewards

I am curious. Currently, what are the best rewards for

  • level 1 = Black trimmed armour, and gilded --Gragon 126 15:00, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
  • level 2 = Robin hood hat (or was boots?) --Gragon 126 15:00, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
  • level 3 = 3rd age melee, mage and archer armour. --Gragon 126 15:00, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! Lewa15151515 10:11, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Multiple clue scrolls in one drop

As it shows in the picture on the clue scroll article I got 2 clue scrolls from one Cockroach Soldier. It wasn't a bug, because i could take them from the ground dropping one and then taking the other. HMMMMMM, has any of you had this situation while killing ANY monster? I wasn´t laggin while took the picture. --Gragon 126 14:59, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
