Table
Edit
I have organized my raw data into a rudimentary table. If someone wants to clean it up feel free. It's read as Level 57 cooking slicing 100 wheels, 4 wheels produced 5 slices, 16 wheels produced 6 slices, etc., The average slices per wheel is 8.87, Total slices produced is 887. Confusion
Edit
There seems to be some confusion about how many slices of cheese one gets from the cheesewheel. At first I thought it was 19, then I got 10 out of a wheel, then 5, then 11. The statement "The higher the player's Cooking level, the greater the number of cheese they will get." seems to be a tad inaccurate IMO. I think it's a random number between 5 and 20. o_O What does everyone else think?

- From comments and edits I've seen, it would appear that, yes, it is random, but the distribution (at least) and possibly the max & min are affected by your Cooking level. So the statement might be better rephrased "The higher the player's Cooking level, the greater the number of cheese they will get on average." (or say "... the greater the number of cheese they will tend to get."). Eventually, I expect some enterprising editors to work out a table showing (at the very least) the average number vs. Cooking level. Perhaps a good project for those editors frustrated by the lack of accurate drop rates on the wiki... JalYt-Mej-Wynde 18:38, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
- It's like what you hit with combat. Even when you're maxed out, you can still hit pretty low. The likeliness of this, however, is reduced. Also, you average hit and your max hit are both increased. So, with a higher cooking level, you will usually get more slices of cheese. You will also have a higher maximum amount of cheese. Metapig 19:53, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm going to start a table in excel at my current level (57) using 100 cheese wheels. I'll post results once all is cut. Jundis 05:09, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

- Be sure to write down your cooking levels, especially if that changes halfway.

Wow, who found out you can cut a wheel of cheese with bronze wire? And I don't understand why cheese has a high demand. 98.249.218.100 10:18, July 15, 2012 (UTC)
- This one might have been a bit of common sense just trying it for kicks in the game, after all, most people use cheese wires to cut cheese!
