Hi everyone, I've marked the article as incomplete for the reasons stated in the template (Needs an opening statement, incomplete walkthrough, needs a new image).

[edit] Lord of the Rings

I really doubt this is a reference to Lord of the Rings. Beacons have been used to warn of danger in real life for centuries. Plus, I think the line "The beacon is lit!" comes from the fact that ... well ... the beacon was lit. 71.64.154.24 15:15, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

I would have to agree. the lord of the rings reference is a major stretch, and it has no reason to be there. someone remove it. 24.129.79.94 21:07, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

I wonder if they'd stop you putting gnomish firelighter-treated logs in the beacon? If not, I wonder what would happen? Big false alarm? Cutscene showing all of Varrock getting ready for invasion? :) Thezmothete 14:35, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
