Any way to have the article return the Nature Rune value automatically each day?Planeshifted 01:11, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

You mean the current auction price of a Nature rune? {{GEPrice|Nature rune}} will return that value. If you want it to change every day, you will have to manually update it daily. KarlisA.pngKarlisB.pngKarlisC.png 01:14, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Adding in a different Rating?

There aught to be a rating, based on if the the caster can make a profit based off of buying the item in bulk, then casting HLA on it. For example, black claws are less on the GE than HLA gives, making it profitable...what ya think? XH4X4G3X 22:48, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

It should be base purely on the profit (or loss) of buying one of the item and a nat on the GE and casting HLA. With nats at 233 each and black claws at 203 each, their HLA value of only 216 gp each means that you lose 220 gp each time you alch one. If it only makes a profit if you make your own nats or items, then it's not HLA that's making the profit; making nats/items is profitable. In fact, all of the "moderately high profit" items listed in the article actually lose money when you use HLA on them!

[edit] Low Alchemy Prices

Uhh i'm about to fill in the low alch prices :) Image:Wizard robe t.pngKrazyballatalk! Image:Law Rune.PNG 02:06, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

It's not worth filling out the extremely expensive items though... XH4X4G3X 02:08, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry I already did it. For the d chain i just looked online but for the rest I filled out myself. Krazyballa (talkcontribs) forgot to sign this comment.
Ok. I just got kind of scared into thinking you were planning on low alching stuff like that...XH4X4G3X 03:46, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
You looked online? Gee, how novel. I'm sure you cast LLA on each item for yourself to confirm the accuracy of your findings right? Planeshifted 10:08, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Is that what i said? I said i actually alched everything BUT d chain. learn to read before you insult me. Image:Wizard robe t.pngKrazyballatalk! Image:Law Rune.PNG 20:52, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
Actually, idiot, I do know how to read and until this response I had refrained from insulting you. But now I am insulting you by referring to you as an idiot for resorting to idiocy. Are we clear on the concept?Planeshifted 02:05, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Only a child, such as you, would start a pointless argument out of a misread. If your not going to stop this argument, i'll be the bigger man and do it myself. Image:Wizard robe t.pngKrazyballatalk! Image:Law Rune.PNG 04:18, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] More items

You can make profit from buying Shield Left Half and alching them. -User:kodeman76

Only if you mined the ess and crafted the nature yourself. On the GE they sell for 65.8k and only alch for 66k. Nature runes are 233 (as of writing) and so you make a loss of 33gp per alch -- Mercifull Image:Uk serv.PNG (Talk) 09:49, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Guide

The vast majority of the guide is horribly inaccurate on profit.
Based on the table's own information, the ratings are incredibly wrong. Several of those 5s should be 2-4, some of which should even be 0s.

I completely agree --Template:Signatures/ma44040 17:59, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
I corrected the star ratings, but I need to find out how to automatically make them change in sync with the amount of profit from the "Profit/Loss" column I recently added. Right now the star ratings need to be updated manually and that obviously will be hard to maintain. If anyone is good at this scripting language that is used on this site, please let me know and I can probably get it done with your coaching.

[edit] Can Someone Please Add A Profit Column?

It would be nice if this chart could have a couple extra columns added, one column for "Profit/Loss (Buying Nats)" and another column "Profit/Loss (Making Your Own Nats)" which would show the monetary amount you would gain or lose when aching each type of item. The star system doesn't really work for me. I don't think it updates properly when prices change.

Another useful thing would be to add a note at the beginning or end of the chart which says "These prices current as of:" and add the date and time when the GE Prices were last updated. Oftentimes I notice that the GE has updated but this chart hasn't, so that would help me out with that.

Thanks!

I ended up filling my own request! Jimindc 21:43, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Can someone please add more items, especially pouches?

Pouches would be helpful.

[edit] Profit, you dims...

How's about setting up a page that shows people how to profit from alching, or at least saying "you don't win money by high alching"? Dumbasses...

[edit] High Alchemy Guide----------

As of now, the current max for a nature rune is 318. I've been researching some items for quite some time. I'm currently looking at a page right now that shows the return cash from a high alch or any item on runescape. It also displays the up-to-date market price of that item in another column. I've been doing the math and so far im finding nothing at all that makes profit by alching.

http://www.runehq.com/priceguide.php?pg=9&browse=2

Try and find something that is buyable at 318 coins less than the high alch price and you'll have yourself a winner. The adamant 2h sword caught my eye, but the supply is bought out at the price you'd need to purchase at to break even. Also, I should point out, just a few of the return alch prices are out of date. In that entire list, i've only found 5 that are out of date. Good luck everyone. - posted by COREz3r0 (4:28am, 10/30/09)
