Getting started[]
Timfraku's location
- Talk to Timfraku located upstairs in the house north-west of Tai Bwo Wannai. (
•••).
Lubufu[]
- Go to the lake south of Tai Bwo Wannai and fish 23 raw karambwanji.
- North of the Karamja lodestone, talk to Lubufu. ( )
- Talk to him again. ( ••••••)
- Talk to Lubufu to give him 20 raw karambwanji.
- Talk to him again ( ). Talk again ( ). Talk a third time. ( •)
- Drop the karambwan vessel. Talk to him for another vessel. ( •)
- Use 1 raw karambwanji on a karambwan vessel, then fish at the spot next to Lubufu (65 )
- If you do not meet the fishing requirement, you may obtain a raw karambwan elsewhere (e.g. Grand Exchange).
- Use another karambwanji on a vessel and keep it for the next step.
Tiadeche[]
Tiadeche's location
- Head to the north-east coast of Karamja, across the river and talk to Tiadeche (fairy ring code dkp). ( )
- Use the loaded vessel on him. ( )
- Head south, kill a jogre and take its bones.
- Go to Musa Point and buy one Karamjan rum from the pub. The rum will break if you teleport with it in your inventory.
- Pick a banana, cut it for slices.
Tamayu and the Shaikahan[]
- Take some seaweed near the shore of Cairn Island.
- Chop nearby dead trees to get 2 logs; cook then grind up a karambwan. There is also a fire south of Tai Bwo Wannai.
- Use the paste on your spear to poison it.
- If you don't have a spear, killing a nearby hobgoblin can drop a spear.
Tamayu's location
- Talk to Tamayu south-east of Tai Bwo Wannai, near the mining area.
- Talk to him again.( •)
- Use the poisoned spear and agility potion on him. ( )
- Talk to him again. ( )
- Kill a nearby monkey, take its corpse, then use it on Tamayu to skin it.
Tinsay[]
Tinsay's location
- Go to Cairn Island, climb the rocks and cross the bridge.
- The surge ability can be used to bypass the agility check for the bridge.
- Talk to Tinsay.
- Use banana slices on the Karamjan rum, then give it to him. ( )
- Use seaweed on the monkey skin, then give it to him. ( )
- Right-click light the jogre bones.
- Grind your last raw karambwanji (the fish, not the octopus) into paste.
- Pick up the burnt jogre bones once the fire dies, then use the paste on it.
- Light a log fire, then right-click use the pasty bones on the fire to cook it.
- Give him the marinated bones. ( )
- Use the other karambwan vessel on him - he'll give you a crafting manual.
Finishing[]
- Talk to Tiadeche to give him the crafting manual (fairy ring dkp).
- Return to Timfraku at the quest start. ( )
- Quest complete!
Rewards[]
- 2 quest points
- 2,000 coins
- 1,500 experience when obtaining a karambwan vessel for the first time from Lubufu.
- Ability to fight the Shaikahan (level 70)
- Ability to take part in the smithing section of Otto's Barbarian training.
- 2 Treasure Hunter keys and 2 Hearts of Ice
- Additional rewards/activities
The following rewards are received after talking to Tamayu upon completion of the quest:
- 2,500 Attack experience
- 2,500 Strength experience
- A rune spear (due to poisoned weapon update, you should use a cleaning cloth (sold by Tamayu) to revert it to a wieldable, tradeable rune spear)
- Access to Tamayu's Spear Stall (also sells cleaning cloths)
The following rewards are received after talking to Tinsay upon completion of the quest:
- 5,000 Cooking experience
- Ability to pray at the newly repaired tribal statue (works like a regular altar and is just east of Timfraku's hut - not marked on the map)
- Ability to properly make marinated jogre bones
The following rewards are received after talking to Tiadeche upon completion of the quest:
- 5,000 Fishing experience
- Ability to catch and cook karambwan and karambwanji
- Access to Tiadeche's Karambwan Stall which sells raw karambwan and karambwan vessels
