Summer Bonde (also known as Summer or Spirit) is a ghostly NPC met during the Spirit of Summer quest. During the quest, she reveals to the player that she and her family were murdered several hundred years ago during the Bonde Farm Massacre, and that they remain bound to a parallel plane. The Spirit Beast feeds off the souls in the realm, weakening the trapped spirits, while growing stronger.
Her father, Erik Bonde, helps trap the Spirit Beast during the quest. Meanwhile, her mother Jennica Bonde, had died from a poisonous spider bite and is only mentioned in passing during the quest.
In the Spirit of Summer quest, you have to help restore herself and her senses and help her to be fed and dressed until she can talk to you about what happened.
You meet Summer Bonde again in the quest Summer's End, in which the player has to lure the beast and defeat him once and for all. She later thanks the player and upgrades the ring she gave at the end of Spirit of Summer quest and passes away into the afterlife, which she is now able to do due to the spirit beast no longer being present.

- The word "bonde" means farmer in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish.
- You can talk to Summer in the end of Summer's End quest without the Amulet of Ghostspeak. Mainly because her spirit was released when the player killed the Spirit Beast with the help of her father and his friends.
- Some players refer to her as blonde, thinking she is a blonde. It has been stated by Jagex that she is in fact a brunette.
