A stone fireplace can be built in the fireplace hotspot of the Parlour, Bedroom, and Dining Room in a player-owned house.

It requires 33 Construction. Players must have a Hammer and a Saw in their inventory or tool belt to build this. When built, it earns the player 40 experience.

Limestone is easily obtained from either Razmire Keelgan in Mort'ton for 10 gp or can be mined north east of Varrock. Bricks can be purchased for 21 coins from the Stonemason in Keldagrim or for 21 coins from Razmire Keelgan's builders store in Mort'ton. Rasolo, the wandering merchant south-east of Baxtorian Falls, can also sell players one for the same price.

Building stone fireplaces is a way to level construction with little or no cost, although this method is slow. Due to the low cost, it is also a popular method of gaining strange rocks or golden rocks for the Shattered Heart Distraction and Diversion.

A stone fireplace can be lit by using a set of regular logs on it.

Despite only needing 2 limestone bricks, if examined closely, it's made up of at least 15 - 28 bricks.
