Stegoleather armour

Stegoleather armour is the tier 8 ranged armour used with the Dungeoneering skill. The set consists of coif, body, chaps, vambraces, and boots. Pieces are often dropped by level 75 forgotten rangers. A player must have level 70 Ranged and Defence to wear a stegoleather item. Only members may obtain and use these items.

A total of 12 stegomastyx hides and level 79 Crafting is required to make the entire set. The hides can be obtained from hunting or killing Stegomastyx, or bought from the Smuggler, although this is nearly impossible due to their very high price. More stegomastyx hide is obtained if a player uses a hunter trap to catch the Stegomastyx, requiring level 70 Hunter, instead of just killing it.

Despite being the same level of black dragonhide, without the boots it only has a +53 range bonus, 12 less than the black dragonhide armour set (Black dragonhide coif, body, legs and vambraces).
