Steel equipment is equipment stronger than iron equipment. As with all things steel, they are of light, silvery-grey colour.

WeaponsEdit

Steel weapons give low attack bonuses. They are more expensive and powerful than iron, but less powerful than black, white and mithril equipment. Some of the weapons are used in the quest In Search of the Myreque.

ArmourEdit

Steel armour, the third-lowest quality armour on the standard metal armour spectrum (bronze to dragon), requires 20 Defence to wear. A full set of steel armour, which includes a full helmet, a platebody, platelegs, and a kiteshield, sells for 2,500 to 5,000 coins.

Before the EoC update, however, the defence requirement to wear steel armour was only 5 Defence.  All the level requirements for armour were changed in this update apart from bronze armour, which stayed at level 1 Defence, being the weakest smithable armour in the game.
