The Steel sword is a sword stronger than the Iron sword. Like all steel weapons, it requires 5 attack to wield. It can only be used in combat. Players can make a steel sword with the Smithing skill at level 34 using one steel bar, giving the player 37.5 Smithing experience. Players can purchase this sword from the Varrock Swordshop in Varrock. One also spawns near the Clan Wars Arena in the Wilderness, just outside the ruins.
