A Steel joint is part of making rail tracks within the Artisans Workshop. To make them, a Steel ingot i can be used on an anvil, requiring 54 Smithing and giving 8.8 experience. They can be deposited as a raw component into the nearby rail cart, or combined with a Steel track 60% to create a Steel track 80%.
