The stake is an item used in the Vampyre Slayer quest. This item is obtained by talking to Dr. Harlow at the Blue Moon Inn at Varrock. The player must use the stake, along with a stake hammer, also received from Dr Harlow, to kill Count Draynor. In Runescape Classic, it was possible to wield this item as a weapon, and both its stats and appearance resembled that of a bronze longsword.
You can get another from Dr Harlow in the Blue Moon Inn of Varrock.
Trivia
- On 15 December 2009, the Stake had its graphics in the inventory changed. Also, on that day it became undroppable, with the "destroy" option instead.
