A Spirit seedling is the result of planting a Spirit seed in a plant pot with a trowel. Once watered, these seedlings will take approximately 5 minutes to grow into an Spirit sapling. A farming level of 83 is required to plant the sapling into any of the Spirit tree patches scattered about Gielinor.

Only 1 Spirit tree can be grown at a time at farming 83, however 2 may be grown at level 86, and temporary boosts such as Garden pie can be used to achieve this.

The limitations on the number of Spirit trees that can be grown, inability to sell the seed, and requirements for paying gardeners to look after the seeds makes has caused many complaints on the official forums as many farmers have a considerable number of Spirit seeds which they are unable to use.
