The Spirit kalphite is a level 25 Summoning familiar. It is summoned using a Spirit kalphite pouch, which will give you 2.5 Summoning experience. This familiar is able to hold up to 6 items for you after interacting with it. The spirit kalphite also has a special attack called Sandstorm, which can attack up to 5 nearby opponents for 2 damage each. This is especially useful to draw monsters when using Chinchompa. It can be activated if you have a Sandstorm scroll in your inventory.

Spirit kalphite: There is no indecision in the hive.
Player: Or a sense of humour or patience, it seems.
- Spirit kalphite: We find this to be wasteful of our time.
Player: Maybe I find you wasteful...
Spirit kalphite: We would not face this form of abuse in the hive.
- Spirit kalphite: We grow tired of your antics, biped.
Player: What antics? I'm just getting on with my day.
Spirit kalphite: In an inefficient way. In the hive, you would be replaced.
Player: In the hive this, in the hive that...

- The Spirit Kalphite's examine text may be a reference to Ash Williams' (From the Evil Dead movies or the Duke Nukem Video Games') phrase "Hail to the King, baby!" In this case, all Kalphites hail to their queen, the Kalphite Queen.
- Before the introduction of Summoning 2, Spirit Kalphites could only hold 2 items instead of 6.
- The Spirit Kalphite speaks in third person as if it were part of the monarchy, or more likely a collective, a la the Borg from Star Trek ("hive" mind, anyone?)
