Spikeshields are a reward from the Fist of Guthix minigame. Spikeshields, like all other Fist of Guthix rewards, degrade in a similar fashion to Barrows equipment. Spikeshields, and Berserker Shields, are the only shields in Free-to-play which offer strength bonuses. Spikesheilds give better defensive bonuses than Square shields of the same metal, although they are weaker than Berserker shields and Kiteshields. Spikeshields are repaired by paying Reggie a small amount of Fist of Guthix tokens.

Level 35 Defence is required to wield an Adamant spikeshield, and level 45 Defence to wield a Rune spikeshield.
