Spa
From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape
Spa or Spa facilities are a reward of the As a First Resort... quest. There are 5 pools located in the Ogre city of Oo'glog. Players can bathe in all pools, and possess all effects from the pools at once. However, players cannot enter pools with a pet or familiar following them.
To enter a pool simply click on it. To leave right click on the edge of the pool and select "Climb out over rocks"
The fastest way to get there is to teleport to Mobilising Armies, by either using the level 10 teleport spell, the Spirit Tree, or the Ring of duelling, and then run east, but alternative methods are available. These include using the Ectophial teleport (or Catherby Teleport) followed by chartering a boat from Port Phasmatys (or Catherby) and running from the Feldip Hills Fairy Ring (AKS) to the agility shortcut. Note that the fastest way into the Fairy Rings is a Slayer ring teleport to the Rellekka Slayer Caves.

[edit] Spa Facilities
From left to right (west to east)...
| Spa | Colour | Examine | Message |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bandos pool | Red | Strange, copper-infused waters. | You feel the favour of Bandos wash over you. |
| The Bandos pool will mark players as followers of Bandos and none of his followers will attack them in God Wars Dungeon. The effect lasts for one hour. See also: God wars dungeon | |||
| Sulphur spring | Yellow | Smells like rotten eggs. | Your soul feels serene after your rest. Your Prayer points have been restored. |
| The sulphur spring temporarily boosts Prayer by about 10% of a player's level as it restores Prayer points. This is the highest Prayer bonus given by any altar in RuneScape. | |||
| Salt-water spring | Light blue | Bubbling water and salt of the earth. | You feel energised and hastened after your relaxing soak. |
| The salt-water spring allows for unlimited run energy by restoring run energy to 100% every second or so for a limited amount of time. Players get an in-game message that the effect has worn off. It will last approximately 10 to 25 minutes, possibly depending on the player's agility level. This bath is quite useful for any extended run errands such as doing Treasure Trails, Farming runs, Runecrafting, All Fired Up as well as several quests. It also allows you to run in the Ice Path, where you normally cannot. For example, a player with a prepared inventory can teleport to Edgeville immediately after exiting pool and run 10-15 abyss trips or more before the effect wears off. It can also be very useful for doing the shot put room in the Warriors' Guild to gain tokens quickly. Interestingly, the effects of the spring are still active after death. You can also get 100% energy and use it on the bike in the Blast Furnace mini game, a good way to get Agility XP as well. | |||
| Thermal bath | Dark blue | Ever been in hot water before? | You feel restored and invigorated |
| The thermal bath cures and gives temporary protection from the effects of poison, disease, hp loss, and boosts players' hitpoints above their maximum, by around 15-20%. This is similar to the Elidinis statuette in Nardah, the effect gradually wears off 1 hp at a time. | |||
| Mud bath | Black | Mud, mud, glorious mud. | After a bath in such luxuriant mud, you feel your Hunter skills are extra keen. |
| The mud bath boosts players' Hunter level by 8 levels, making them more likely to catch hunter creatures. Also removes their scent so while hunting they do not need to remove their scent from traps. | |||

[edit] Trivia
- When first released there was a glitch that caused players to appear to be walking on the surface of the "spa" pools, by burning a plant, jumping into a spa pool and waiting until the plant had burnt completely. Now it sometimes happens when you're not burning anything.
- The examine text "Mud, mud glorious mud" is a reference to "The Hippopotamus Song" by Flanders and Swann.
- There is a glitch from the salt-water spring; when the effects wear off, leaving the message "The quickening effects of the salt-water spring has worn off", it is still possible to have your energy restored to 100% up to 5 times before completely wearing out. When the message appears, continue running until your run energy reaches 81%. Stop, and your run energy should be restored back to 100%.
