Solomon's General Store/Animations

Animations are a type of animation modification that may be purchased from Solomon's General Store. These animations are capable of overriding default animations with a completely different and new animation.

Animations available from the General Store are categorised in 3 categories, namely Skills, Spells and Kills. Unlike its outfit, accessory and combat gear counterpart, these animations will still be played in the vicinity of player-versus-player areas. However, animations have specific restrictions that differs with the condition of the skill or spell.

Skills

Skill animations are unique animations that override the default animation of a certain skill. These are restricted to work only with the corresponding skill, and sometimes even further with only selected skill training methods. 8 out of 29 skill animations available are puchasable using Loyalty points, with the remaining being Runecoins exclusive.

Spells

Spell animations are classified into 2 main categories, teleport spells and miscellaneous magic spells. 3 out of 26 spell animations available are puchasable using Loyalty points, with the remaining being Runecoins exclusive.

Teleports

Teleport spell animations override almost any form of default teleport spell available on RuneScape (unless stated otherwise). With its diversity, teleport animations are capable of overriding home teleports and even a handful of spellbook, tablet and enchanted jewellery teleports depending on the animation purchased.

Magic spells

Magic spell animations override selected default spell animations from the spellbook. Only the standard spellbook spells are affected as only High Level Alchemy may be overridden for now.

Kills

Kill animations are unique animations that are only played during player-versus-player situations. It is also the only animation that plays on another player rather than the player itself. None of the kill animations are purchasable using Loyalty points, as all are Runecoins exclusive.

Trivia

After an update on 9 October 2012, if multiple home teleport spell overrides are enabled, the animation will be chosen at random. This was later changed to a cycle to prevent gambling.
Mining with the Headbutt Mining animation takes longer to clear rocks in Daemonheim's collapsing room.^{[source needed]}
The rune writings on the planks of the Heart of Spring home teleport animation are based off the Elder Futhark. They translate to "farwel" which is the corrupted of "farewell".
