Soft clay is used to create pottery through the Crafting skill, in addition to certain furniture and Magic tablets in Construction. It is also used to merchant, as some players buy clay and make soft clay for roughly a profit of 118 coins.
Soft clay can be created by using water on clay. To create pottery, soft clay must be used on a potter's wheel and then fired in a pottery oven.
With a bracelet of clay equipped, players can mine soft clay straight from the rock, without having to add water. The bracelet crumbles to dust after 28 soft clays mined.
Players are required to make soft clay in Draynor Village in the Lumbridge and Draynor Diary.
