Soda ash is obtained from cooking seaweed, swamp weed, kelp or Edible seaweed on a range or fire. It is an ingredient for making glass in crafting, along with a bucket of sand. It must then be smelt in a furnace to make molten glass.
Soda ash is usually obtained by gathering seaweed, Kelp or swamp weed in areas such as Dorgesh-Kaan, the beach near Rellekka and Keldagrim, Entrana, Karamja, or the Piscatoris Fishing Colony (upon completion of the Swan Song quest).
Making soda ash gives no crafting, nor cooking experience.
There is a money making method that some members use, by buying 80 seaweed (daily) from Arhein in Catherby, cooking it into soda ash on a range, then selling it at the Grand Exchange for market or max price.
